bring back men only sports clubs, bars and social groups

[–]upsidedownbackwards 75 points76 points77 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

They still exist, you just have to know where to look.

Also, they're mostly either gay, or rich clubs.

A woman friend of mine actually got upset when I was talking about one of them to her. She said it was sexist to be men only. But she was totally fine with women only stuff so she can pound sand. She was not able to comprehend if the roles were reversed and men wanted to go into a lesbian only camp. Of course that's not okay!

I really don't understand how people don't have the ability to view things from another perspective.

[–]Greg_W_Allan 12 points13 points14 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That would require empathy.

[–]TheNerdWonder 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And feminists/women just can't muster that.

“Are We Dating the Same Guy” FB groups are great evidence for this claim.

[–]alman3007 105 points106 points107 points 3 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Someone should make a "Are we dating the same girl" group, especially since its well known that some women are serial daters just to get free meals.

[–]aerial_coitus 87 points88 points89 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

that would last about 10 minutes before it was censured and taken down by the tech giant overlords

And your solution to make men's lives better is?

[–]averageenjoyer49 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Host arguements, open up cases, open support groups, open men shelters, expose radical feminists etc. All kinds of little steps help. Want an example? After 5 years of work in our high school, most of the students are MRA supporters. Arguements especially help the most to convince individuals and little groubs of people.

Only if you manage to concentrate all the efforts in one generation. Notoriously younger generations are deaf to older generation's problems. You fight a lot, in the meantime the you ger ones don't know what you're talking about and all you fought for is gone.

Out of the loop, what are these FB groups?

[–]jjj2576[🍰] 30 points31 points32 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I got you— let me add a few prefacing statements.

Women have been using Social Media for a hot minute to inflate their perceived value: filters, angles, IG Reality vs Actual Life, taking pics at protects & not actually participating, etc. Fourth Wave Feminism/The Me Too Movement is focused on leveraging digital tools to empower only Women.

The “Are We Dating the Same Guy” FB groups are disguised as groups to protect women from Abuse & Toxic Relationships. Men are typically excluded from these groups, which removes our voice from the dialogue. Women posts pictures of men on these groups, asking locals for information. While sometimes we see this information being useful, it often devolves into misandrists putting a Man down to decrease his perceived sexual market value, which simultaneously gives the misandrists the illusion of increasing their own (think of the Banality of Evil or Occident/Orient).

Since Misandrists are weaponizing digital communication to slander Single Men, we are seeing an increase in posts on the MRA subreddit about this.

[–]Codename-18 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They're a testament to women's inability to use justice the way it should be according to the laws.

It's always gonna be about solipsism, double standards, indignation and retribution.

E.g.: the tinder swindler did onto women what any attractive woman did onto men, they finessed the opposite sex. In the case of women they got the short end of the stick not getting commitment, in the case of men they kept simping not getting any pussy. BUT when it came to the tinder swindler guy the documentary went so far as justify THEFT because women had to sell his clothes to make up for loss investment. Now imagine stealing women's clothes to make up for the fact that you flew them out and took them on expensive dinners but they didn't out out.

Tl;Dr: justice is a myth, women will forcefit female-friendly logics into it and when it comes to libel on "are we dating the same guy" groups it doesn't matter if the content is bullshit as long as women are getting indignation out of it.

This article will be helpful background history when having soc media discussions about transwomen entering women's spaces. It shows women's thirst for entering and destroying male spaces - which also included sporting clubs, pool halls, male only saloons, wilderness retreats, recreational activities, workplaces, bathrooms etc. And now they are trying to stop men entering their spaces, and asking men to care? I think we can all understand the reason for men's apathy about loss of exclusively female spaces.

To the above article we can also add that feminist professor Judith Lorber wrote, in 1994, that she and her friends had "liberated" many male-only bathrooms by walking in and using them, and she lamented that one woman was arrested for doing so.

[–]CentralAdmin 47 points48 points49 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Even at home, many men have their spaces taken from them. Their hobbies gather dust in the attic or the garage. If they are lucky they get a "man cave", which is in a dark corner of the house, out of the way so as not to offend anyone.

Nevermind that he pays rent or the mortgage. Nevermind that this is as much his home as everyone else's. There just seems to be a general disdain among women for anything that men enjoy.

They see any male pursuits - that are not productive in a way a woman that allows a woman to benefit - as threatening or a problem. If his hobby is woodworking and selling his creations, no problem. That's money coming in. If it's video games or watching sport, it causes her anxiety.

There is nothing wrong with a feminine edge to a woman's homemaking. So why do so many women project their fears onto men when they make spaces that make them feel comfortable? And why are women not building their own empires to then justify female only spaces? Why is it only after men have bled and died to make things safe and convenient that women come in making demands? Why do they want the cool shit only after men have suffered to make them happen? Why are women not throwing themselves in harm's way for progress?

This is, incidentally, why whenever men don't want birth control that has negative side effects, I never consider women's complaints about this seriously. They benefit today from a world that men built, made safer, reduced poverty and continue to progress for women's benefit. Yet no woman is willing to grind away in a shitty, dangerous job for a man's benefit. Women don't see men as valuable members of society despite all the necessary work they do. So maybe men get to have an opinion on whether they want birth control that they feel safe using or not.

[–]Rude_Shock343 24 points25 points26 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

yeah.... try joining a "female only" gym.. .. your a creepy predator. Don't want women in your gym... you are a member of the payriarchy oppresding women with your misogynistic views.

[–]McFeely_Smackup 18 points19 points20 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

it wasn't all that long ago a female reporter (Lisa Olson) was complaining of sexual harassment from men "deliberately being nude" when she was in the locker room.

You literally can't make up this kind of "It's all about me" narcissism.

[–]odoof12 16 points17 points18 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

this is a great article though it could have made more arguements, especcially when women are creepy and do pose a sexual threat in mens only spaces

[–]NekoiNemo 16 points17 points18 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, the fact that men don't seen as having right for privacy is just plain sad.

Reminds me of my school where, when there was some issue requiring renovation in the girl's changing room (that took almost an entire year), they were handed the boy's room, because naturally girls NEED privacy for changing. Boys? Oh, who cares about them - boys can just change, undressing to their underwear, in front of the gym, in the school hall... Nobody except for the boys themselves saw the issue with that, naturally. When i tried to address the issue - i was told by teachers that i should stop complaining because "boys have nothing to see", so it doesn't matter if we change in the public. And when i tried to refuse changing - i was told i won't be allowed to attend PE without uniform, and lack of changing space wasn't a valid excuse and i will fail the subject and will be held back a grade...

What's "funny" is that this shite happened 4 separate times in my childhood, in 2 separate schools and 2 separate martial arts gyms (that my parents forced me to attend), so this was not just something weird a single fucked up school faculty pulled off - this was systemic.

And that's with me living in the "non-progressive chauvinistic patriarchal" country...

[–]Wooden_Engine8608 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Should of called the teachers pedos.

[–]NekoiNemo 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sadly, no. The all-female (naturally) school faculty genuinely didn't believe boys need privacy.

[–][deleted] 72 points73 points74 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Personally, I'm quite satisfied with women getting upset about trans people invading women's sports, restrooms, locker rooms, swimming pools, etc.

Feminism created this mess. They shat the bed. Let them sleep in it.

[–]darkmauveshore 18 points19 points20 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They Amber Turded

[–]South-Friend-7326 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This is an interesting take, but you’re right. Trans issues have definitely complicated their agenda. When man can become woman, man can also reap all the benefits of being a woman.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Feminism ultimately has led women to become thralls to men who want to cut off their genitals and be women.

[–]South-Friend-7326 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That’s the thing though, you don’t need to go on hormones or get a surgery to be a woman. You have to declare it and now you’re a woman. What a strange time to be alive.

[–]HamletsRazor 58 points59 points60 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

We've known this since the Boy Scouts were forced to allow girls.

[–]Halafax 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Just to clarify, no one ordered boy scouts to allow girls. Membership was down in general, then most of the LDS church troops pulled out. BSA allowed girls to try to get membership up.

[–]HamletsRazor 26 points27 points28 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I was mistaken. But that makes it even worse.

[–]Halafax 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

that makes it even worse.

Yeah. Making spaces for men and boys needs to be a priority.

[–]ZandorFelok 26 points27 points28 points 3 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Actually there was a huge lawsuit that forced BSA to allow girls in because they are a government funded organization unlike Girl Scouts which is a private organization.

Correction: BSA was sued in 1997 but won in the state supreme court of California. Other attempts both in and out of court, over time, pressured the BSA council to change their membership criteria to allow girls.

The fallout of such alterations has now been the cause of a decline in membership with Girl Scouts, who are a girls only private organization.

[–]Halafax 17 points18 points19 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

That's just not true. BSA has no shortage of legal issues (hey, call the cops on molesters, don't cover it up) but this wasn't one of them. Rather, BSA got pinched by a no-win choice in front of them. If they wouldn't allow gay scouts, there was a good chance they would lose some access to federal/state land and lots of bad publicity. If they allowed gay scouts, the LDS church (a very large percentage of all troops) would pull out (and did).

I don't feel a lot of pity for them, covering up sexual abuse was retarded. But I've had my kids in both boy and girl scouts, BSA was the better program by miles.

[–]Spare_Development615 29 points30 points31 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's tiring listening to feminists whine about "men in women's spaces" while women invade every men's club in existance for the last 100 years.

[–]Ok_Night_7767 12 points13 points14 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Isn't it wonderful how women can argue both sides of the same fence, changing sides based upon gender? The only consistency in the feminist movement seems to be the unrelieved hatred for anything male.

Men have been attempting to slow or stop the incursion for better than a half century with, from my observation, virtually no success. Part of it is our own fault. When, as an example, women reporters wanted to invade men's locker rooms, the leagues opted for the wrong solution. Rather than trying to keep out women reporters, they should have issued a blanket prohibition against ALL reporters from entering such areas. Women would then not have had an equality issue to fight and the athletes would have been spared what was already an intrusion on their privacy. I don't believe that it is too late to do it now and the leagues should be pressured to do just that especially given that women will be arguing to keep males out of women's spaces.

It is past time for the men's right's movement to consider the wisdom of an expression used in sports. The best defense is a good offense.

[–]designerutah 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's called a perpetual victim mindset. Everything is viewed as if men are the problem and women the victims no matter the situation. Allows for some amazing goal shifting in real time.

[–]DrRandomCasual81 11 points12 points13 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It’s true. Female only gyms, female discounts for oil changes or drink nights, female only discounts, female only everything.

Between gender separation and race separation, it’s like we are back in the 50’s and 60’s.

[–]Educational_Bet_6606 17 points18 points19 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Many women are unhinged. And hateful.

What a hateful time to exist for males.

[–]CatacombsRave 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I’ve been saying this for the longest time.

[–]wwwhistler 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

when women are allowed in places like male sports locker rooms it is because it is assumed they will control any inappropriate thought or action.

while men are NOT allowed in women's sports locker room because it is assumed they are incapable of controlling their thoughts and behaviors.

Sad old news

[+]cjgager 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

boys ought to have single sex spaces just like women - 'tis unfair otherwise.
it's only when they all become men and into social status that "only-men-allowed" clubs become possibly detrimental since a closed-club, similar to a closed-mind breeds corruption and disdain against non-members. this might have more to do with status & money but, you know - many women wanted to break into that - & still do, obviously.

And who's fault is it that men caan't be without women for 5 minutes because muh dik

[–]dijon507 11 points12 points13 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

What? I think op is advocating for men’s only spaces

[+]LastOfHumanoids -10 points-9 points-8 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

My point is, it's up to men to create and substain men's only spaces, by being hostile. thats the only way a mans space can survive. But men are always thinking with their dicks so they will inevitably allow women into the space and start competing with eachother and the space is destroyed from there on out

[–]dijon507 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

This is not based on evidence at all, there have been historically all boys and men’s spaces and they have been forced to let girls and women in. For example boy scouts had to let girls in and now it’s just called scouts, would that ever happen in girl guides?

[+]LastOfHumanoids -13 points-12 points-11 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

They weren't forced at all lol. Did you even pay attention. They gladly welcomed them and the leaders said they were happy to welcome the girls. They could've said no

[–]dijon507 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, they said that publicly. What do you think the headlines would have said if they didn’t accept it?

[+]LastOfHumanoids -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

So what? Boys scouts is a private organization...

[–]dijon507 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So is girl guides and they explicitly say no boys allowed. Boy Scouts was just one example of an organisation that was male only and now it’s not. Boys and men don’t have spaces anymore because the need to be inclusive only goes one way.
