Study finds that "manuscripts written by women as solo authors or coauthored by women were treated even more favorably by referees and editors" yet gets reported with the heading "no gender bias". Gender bias against men doesn't seem to count as gender bias!

Following a petition, Winchester University cancelled a talk with two men's rights activists in 2019. Here is the text of one of the talks (by William Collins) that were planned. It covers education, suffrage and coverture. It's disappointing that such views can't be expressed in such a forum.

95% of strip searches of children reported in England & Wales are of boys. This may or may not be an issue but I found it interesting that it was considered unfair that black children were more likely to be strip-searched but this huge gender disparity was barely mentioned in lots of media coverage.

I have been listening to reports on this shooting over different days on BBC Radio One including Alexis being interviewed but haven't heard anything about her brother's heroic actions.

[–]Aimless-Nomad 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Doesn't work with their misandrist agenda.

[–]dw87190 111 points112 points113 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Another double standard exposed. I was always lectured that I should put my life on the line for my sister and never think twice. My sister was told outright I wasn't worth risking anything for

[–]wntk[S] 35 points36 points37 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

My sister was told outright I wasn't worth risking anything for

Curious to know the context of this/more about it.

[–]dw87190 51 points52 points53 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

My mother was fucked up back then, chose to be parent, blamed me for it anyway. She was never a feminist but the way she treated me would make feminists proud

[–]wntk[S] 19 points20 points21 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Very sorry to hear that

[–]plumberack 17 points18 points19 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Most people aren't a feminist but most have feminist mindset. This is why I don't feel good about stats that tell you that only minority of people are a feminist. If only the minority of population was feminist, there wouldn't be a group of white knights in every street and train ready to kill you when you use self defense.

[–]dw87190 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agree. Feminism has gone on long enough that it is generationally ingrained in society. Many state they aren't feminist like you said, but very much do serve the madness in minute behavioural ways. Very few are awake, very few know what's under their masks. Look for their targets, and we can guarantee one of two things: a monster created by them, or smart enough to know better. Andrew Tate is a good example of the former, egalitarians like myself are an example of the latter

Other than mothers of sons, how often do women risk their lives to save men?

[–]hrishirulz11 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The anon troll doesnt seem to realise the main reason why there are more male criminals than female, violent or otherwise. The key word here is poverty. Black crime is higher than white crime due to the generations of systemic racism that had resulted in black people being poorer than white people on average. Poverty breeds crime.

Other than massive discrepancy in criminal sentences between men and women, women have several safety nets to rely on throughtout their life to get out of poverty. The chief being marriage. I dont see women lining up marry a poor man. Men do not look for money while marrying. There are way more poor men than women. The difference in crime stats is not even surprising. Keep blaming culture and men who are themselves victims of this gynocentric system.

Just google it, it’s not hard. I’m sure you can do it, you big strong man… did that help? I know self esteem can help for men sometimes and I want to be helpful. 😁

[–]EmirikolWoker 41 points42 points43 points 3 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

The positive claim has the burden of proof. I'm sure you're a smart lady who understands that. If you can't back up your point, it can be dismissed without evidence.

What is your point, precisely?

"Women rarely put their lives on the line for men."

"Women military exist!'

"To what degree?"

"50/50, even though a basic Google search would show they make up a tiny minority. Which doesn't undermine my counterargument at all. Checkmate. Men."

Get a hobby.

[+]anonymous5639271 -21 points-20 points-19 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

My point is simple. Don’t worry about who’s protecting whom, let’s worry about eliminating the violence of mass shootings, which I was nearly a victim of. I was at Virginia Tech, 4 of my friends died, I would be dead if I hadn’t dropped a class. We need to figure out why men are grabbing weapons and killing people en masse, it has to stop.

[–]EmirikolWoker 36 points37 points38 points 3 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link

violence of mass shootings, which I was nearly a victim of. I was at Virginia Tech, 4 of my friends died,

I see. So your characterisation of men as violent killers is a trauma response. I hope you get the help you need and move past it.

[+]anonymous5639271 -4 points-3 points-2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It’s a true story… just an accessible cultural reference to dispute your incorrect claim. There have been female warriors throughout history

[–]jameson71 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because they don’t make movies about things that happen every day

[–]TenuousOgre 25 points26 points27 points 3 years ago (37 children) | Copy Link

The one about the African slaving tribe? The one where the writers had to 180 history to make it fit their desired narrative that women warriors could defeat their male opponents?

[+]anonymous5639271 -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 years ago (36 children) | Copy Link

Nope, they were superior warriors to their male counterparts. They were raised from infancy to be soldiers though, I imagine most people would be great when trained that long

[–]Halafax 23 points24 points25 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Read some history. They were fighting to keep slavery, and they were destroyed by the French in their next battle.

[+]anonymous5639271 -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My dads a history teacher, I’ve been reading history since I could read. I didn’t say they were heroes, I said they were warriors, because that’s what I was asked to prove, that women could be warriors and obviously yea they can and have been.

[–]KrazyJazz 11 points12 points13 points 3 years ago* (11 children) | Copy Link

Please tell me you're not talking about the Dahomey amazons, lovely ladies who took part in a massive slave trade? The 'superior warriors' who badly lost against the French not once but twice? You're not talking about 'The woman king', movie made by a woman btw, the recent epitome of Hollywood BS when it comes to rewriting history with a purpose?

Quote: In answering the question, "How accurate is The Woman King?" we learned that in real life, the Dahomey are much more the villains than the heroes. The Kingdom of Dahomey was a bloodthirsty society bent on conquest. It was customary for the Dahomey to return home with the rotting heads and genitals of those they killed in battle. They conquered neighboring African states and took their citizens as slaves, selling many in the Atlantic slave trade in exchange for items like rifles, tobacco, and alcohol. Many of the slaves they sold ended up in America. They also kept some slaves for themselves to work on royal plantations. The business of slavery is what brought Dahomey most of its wealth. For them, it very much came down to either enslave others or become enslaved yourself.

I don't blame you though. Even the United Nations are bending backward to make them look good...because women

[Edited to add quote]

[+]anonymous5639271 -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

I don’t care if they were villains of angels, the point we’re talking about here is if there have been female warriors and to that, we can easily say yes.

[–]KrazyJazz 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

With all non-due respect, ma'am, please stick up to knitting...

[+]anonymous5639271 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

I’d love to do that. Actually I worked to organize and hand knit blankets for all of the Virginia Tech mass shooting victims after 4 of my friends were murdered.

Some of my other hobbies are motorcycling, carpentry, and backpacking. I also run and do all the labor on my farm. Am I allowed to have an opinion now? Pretty please, you big strapping man.

[–]Greg_W_Allan 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

The Dahomey WERE the slave trade and also engaged in human sacrifice. They were one of the most putrid peoples to ever walk the face of the planet.

[+]anonymous5639271 -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

That’s not what we’re talking about. There have been lots of terrible evil male soldiers. The question asked was have there been female warriors and yes there have been many. That was just an easy cultural reference I thought people would know and obviously you all do since you’re all riled up 😂

[–]Greg_W_Allan 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That was just an easy cultural reference

Cultural reference? You watched a movie and think you know something? Learn some real history.

[+]anonymous5639271 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Did they exist? Yes. That’s literally all I was saying.

[–]EmirikolWoker 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

Tell me you get your historical knowledge purely from fiction without saying you get your historical knowledge purely from fiction.

[+]anonymous5639271 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Yes lots of war movies are historical fiction. Doesn’t mean the war or fighting forces didn’t exist. They certainly existed and were considered a superior fighting force, that’s historical fact.

[–]EmirikolWoker 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Have a look at the Dahomey's history. Do some reading. It might surprise and educate you.

[–]KrazyJazz 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

This is how a hardcore feminist on the down-low sounds like. A long time married one at that. Nothing goes thru her thick skull. Nothing. Nazis, bolcheviks and all-around genocidal maniacs and POS are ok as long as they are females. Disgusting. But absolutely not surprising.

[+]anonymous5639271 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I’ve made no claims other than they existed, and were female warriors. That’s it, and y’all are losing it, it’s so…. Sadly predictable

[–]TenuousOgre 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And they got their asses handed to them by several groups. Don’t believe the movie, it’s not even close to accurate.

[–]BusyButUseful1 points 3 years ago [recovered] (52 children) | Copy Link

Obviously this is more about trying to undermine those females and claim moral superiority for our gender. Stop ruining it.

[+]anonymous5639271 -15 points-14 points-13 points 3 years ago (51 children) | Copy Link

It’s a hysterical argument how often do women risk their lives to protect men?…. Oh from the other men? 🫣

[–]EmirikolWoker 27 points28 points29 points 3 years ago (47 children) | Copy Link

Oh from the other men? 🫣

Thank you for conceding that men, given power, would rather inconvenience men than women. It rather throws a wrench in the whole patriarchy thing though, so have fun with that.

[+]anonymous5639271 -5 points-4 points-3 points 3 years ago (46 children) | Copy Link

Men are just the vast majority of people committing violence, it’s a pretty overwhelming statistic

[–]EmirikolWoker 32 points33 points34 points 3 years ago (45 children) | Copy Link

Are you aware, that, for instance, intimate partner violence is not gender directional, provided you don't measure it with a gendered definition?

Are you also aware that women are less likely to be arrested, charged, and found guilty than men who commit similar actions? In short, womens' violence is less likely to be recognised as violence, compared to mens'.

But hey, if you think women are just less capable, harmless little dears, that's your perogative. It doesn't really square with reality, and is pretty sexist.

[+]anonymous5639271 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (44 children) | Copy Link

I think there are bad violent women sure, but let’s take the mass shooting since that’s what we’re talking about of 4,025 since 2013 101 were committed by women. So 2% I’m not ok with 101 shootings either but pretending this isn’t largely a male problem does no one any favors. There’s got to be some reason this is happening, we need to face the reality

[–]EmirikolWoker 20 points21 points22 points 3 years ago (43 children) | Copy Link

And your conclusion is that men are more violent than women.

There are more black people convicted of violent crime than white people in the US. Would you argue that black people are more violent than white people, or would you recognise that line of reasoning for the bigotry that it is?

[+]anonymous5639271 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (42 children) | Copy Link

It’s not that more men are convicted though, there aren’t mass shooting by women we don’t know about. That’s just all the mass shootings. Why would that be? I’m not saying it’s something inherent to men by birth necessarily, but there’s some reason they’re going out and doing it more than women.

[–]BusyButUseful1 points 3 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

We just want to share in praise for the heroic men but share none of the responsibility for the bad men. Is that too much to ask?

[–]Formal-Type-4794 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because you're sick in the head, not me. I'd rather focus on positives than focus on the negatives. Why would I take responsibility for the bad men? You peeps are strong independent women, deal with it on your own.

[+]anonymous5639271 -4 points-3 points-2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A woman run for cover and is deemed a hero, a man gives cover and is a misogynist. A woman calls the fire department after a cooking mishap and "saves her family" is a hero, a man grabs the fire extinguisher and puts the fire out is in the way and should have waited for help to arrive. Its way out of hand.

[–]Sir_vendetta 60 points61 points62 points 3 years ago (31 children) | Copy Link

This takes me back to a comment that I made another time...

Is our nature to be protective of those that we love, it has been the case ever since humans started to exist..is our instinct as "males", has been abused by society throughout history, and is expected a man to sacrifice himself, is accepted..but isn't the same for women, the expectations are that we need to protect them and they don't need to sacrifice anything.

Ask yourself this question;

What will happen if men stop protecting women all suddenly?

NO MORE WARS.

[–]ManhattanT5 31 points32 points33 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

What will happen if men stop protecting women all suddenly?

NO MORE WARS.

Yeah men don't protect their non-sexual interests. Like if someone wants to take my house, I'm just going to let him, right? Stupid argument; besides just my wife, I wouldn't let another man take a ballcap from me without violence.

[–]Sir_vendetta 28 points29 points30 points 3 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

I talking about how those in power have been using our nature against us...

One of the biggest war propaganda ever used has always been the same.

"We need to protect our women and children against other men", has always been used by recruiters to encourage men to go to war.

[–]Zestyclose-Repair-86 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Tell him about fighting in Afghanistan so girls can attend school.

How did that work out?

[–]PubicFigure 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

They have very defined gender roles there because of the religious beliefs. You don't need tertiary education to look after the house while the man provides. The roles can be defined as "home maker" and "home provider". The man generates resources and the woman allocates them.

Before the brigade shows up... read the above, it's an explanation I ain't defending or glorifying or anything. I'm just stating a very minimalistic truth about the situation...

[–]Zestyclose-Repair-86 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was referring to the poster referring to "protecting women" as a pretext for war. Which was exactly what happened in afghanistan

[–]CurrencyFit7659 -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 years ago (25 children) | Copy Link

So, you're telling me that... Women should become property? Because you're not talking about "stop attack women". Right?
Also, you definitely don't know anything about history. Raping women (and kids, and anyone else) always was just a pleasant addition to the main reason for any wars.

[–]plumberack 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

So why did queens wage more wars than kings? Did they want to rape kids?

[+]CurrencyFit7659 -4 points-3 points-2 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

You oversimplifying everything. Men go to war because they are scared to go against the government, someone, who is stronger. Or, sometimes, to gain some money. You're probably American, right? Which women did your army "protect" in Iraq? Vietnam?

That's where you are wrong, the majority of men are not particularly interested in going to war and getting themselves killed....that's a misconception that women have about men, the main motivator throughout history has always been protecting their loved ones, that's what makes men do "heroic" acts.

[+]CurrencyFit7659 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Yes, and still, if you say to them that they have to choose between going to war or prison - they will choose the war. I know what I am talking about, you don't. You don't protect anyone.
Again, who you protected in Vietnam or Afghanistan?

[–]Sir_vendetta 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Why do we have to choose between going to war or prison?..that's the most ridiculous thing I ever heard.

[+]CurrencyFit7659 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

And yet, this is the reality. Guess what - while you're living your cute privileged Westerner life, someone actually knows what the war is. And guess what? Unless it's YOUR life in danger, men are not going to war because they want "to protect" anyone. Have you ever heard about Russia? Wanna know why men go to war there? Because they're scared. Or stupid, or just criminals.

[–]Sir_vendetta 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

The Russian soldiers are drafted into the front line, and they aren't even given the option to go to prison..picking the red army as an example is your stupidest comment yet.

Omg, you're just funny, trying to teach me about what is happening in my own country. Google "mobilisation".
And yes, they have the chance. From the beginning.
Also, it's not been the Red Army for almost 80years

It is unfortunately true that this crime seems to have been committed by a man.

This will likely get included in gender homicide statistics and perhaps discussions about how mass shootings are usually done by males.

I don't see people collecting, publishing and disseminating in the media similar data broken down by gender about another measure, heroic acts like this.

It’s been my opinion that women, by their nature, are extremely cowardly. That’s just how they evolved.

[–]penguinsrcoolaf 15 points16 points17 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Men are hardwired to protect women & children. Life has always been full of danger. It's only the last century where when things have changed & life is generally safer for most of us in the west. Men are stronger, faster, generally more calm in stressful situations, that's 100's of thousands of years of evolution all just for the survival of our species.

While this is a sad fact, and we lost, who sounds like, a very good young man here. This is the mentality of men. Protect, and do what is right in situations when called for. He protected his family; I wish it wasn't the end that came for him, he had this amazing future as told by his coach.

This young man is a good example to other peers of his. Not because he gave his life but because of how he lived his life. No young man, or any man should have to be in a position to make the choice that he did.

Yet here we are, down one more good one.

This right here, the loss of this young man is why men's rights is so important.

[–]ObviousRascal[🍰] 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Of course men do so. I recall a video I saw where a guy interviewed random people in public on wether they would choose their spouses life or their own. Every. Damn. Woman. Chose herself to live. Many laughed incredulously like it was absurd that they should die instead of their husband.

The looks on their husband's faces after they just said they would die for their wives and then their wives not only not feeling the same way but laughing about it. Some were even asked if they would choose their best friend or their husband. Most said their best friend should live. A few even outright said they would let their kids die before themselves. All of these were asked to married couples, both present.

I hope those poor men wised up and divorced those horrible women. Judging by the looks on their faces most at least had a serious fight later. But at least a few men just looked defeated. You could see the light leaving their eyes. Was very sad and very telling of modern western women.

[–]lewandisney69 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You will almost never see a woman save a random person.

The only people women will ever try to save is their children.

Man dies saving life of another

“That’s one more point on the boys team! All the more reason to be confident that one day we’ll finally prove that we’re more heroic than girls!”

I’m sorry but is this really what we want men’s advocacy to look like?

[+]Antarkian -10 points-9 points-8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I dont know you, nor your opinions, but i have to ask, are you interested in men's rights? Or is this more resentment towards women? Never lose sight of the focus to bring men up in society. But never direct it as an attack to other people. That's not a string mindset. Especially people who have died for others. It's the most loving and selfless act a person can commit. But it is never something to strive for as a goal.. To give their life to allow another person to live. The amount of strength in that action is unreal. But it means we are facing life threatening situations. So... nothing but bad things. There was a woman not too long ago who was trapped in a burning apartment building with her small children. And while on fire and burning alive, had to take her children to the balcony and drop them over the edge to someone because they were trapped. She died. Saving her kids. It's hard to want to see these number equal. That's gruesome. Even passing quickly is tragic. Wishing for death numbers to be any form of equality, when we all know that men and women ARE, in fact, different mentally and physically is also crazy. I dunno, this post just doesn't sit right with me. Sorry dude.

Like, I see your point....but i really can't stand behind this example.

I think it’s bad for men that so many are inclined to commit murder. I’d like to understand why men commit violent crimes at higher rates than other genders. It’s absolutely a problem men face.

Being honest with ourselves about the issues we face is the first and most important step to being better. And most of you here can’t even admit that we need help.

[–]UpstairsNo8810 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I legitimately don't understand how you expect me to believe you're anything other than a concern troll. You've been anything but concerned for men's issues since your first comment in this post and I wonder why you're still trying to keep the charade up. You post the same rhetoric again and again about getting men to stop killing as if there's a switch somewhere that can be flipped to erase psychopaths from the earth.

[+]LiquidDreamtime 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You don’t think society, circumstance, and desperation motivate any murders?

So you advocate for public healthcare and access to mental health care for men? Which politicians do you support that are talking about giving these “psychopaths” access to the care that they need?

[–]wntk[S] 19 points20 points21 points 3 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

It's highlighting an apparent difference between males and females. There are more males than females that are violent with guns and the like (as you point out)* but also more males than females that seem to be heroic in this way.

*A very small subgroup of men

[+]LiquidDreamtime -26 points-25 points-24 points 3 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

It’s difficult for me to celebrate men as a gender for heroically saving people from the violence of men. It’s dishonest to attribute this heroism to men, and not attribute the violence to men.

[–]wntk[S] 15 points16 points17 points 3 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

Some men being unnecessarily violent isn't the only case when some men can be heroic e.g. dealing with an effect of nature, though this one is.

Due to testosterone and the like, I think there will always likely be some differences between men and women. The negative aspects are often highlighted but rarely more positive differences.

[+]LiquidDreamtime -21 points-20 points-19 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

How is “man attacks people and a man heroically stops him” a positive thing to highlight for men?

I takes some mental gymnastics to focus on the food here and say “look what men can do!” And completely ignore the bad as exactly what men can also do.

Celebrate the individual, sure. But if men are taking credit, don’t we also have to take the blame?

[–]wanderlust_12 19 points20 points21 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Then why don’t we apply that same logic and blame the entire religion of Islam for the actions of a few terrorists? And why don’t we blame the entire black race for the crime going on in the inner cities? And why don’t we blame the entire white race for the actions of a few KKK and nazis? It’s almost as if it is not a good idea to blame an entire group for the actions of a few bad actors unless that group happens to be an entire gender (men). How convenient isn’t it?

[–]CrowMagpie 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

And why don’t we blame the entire white race for the actions of a few KKK and nazis?

Oh, trust me, people like u/LiquidDreamtime will totally do that.

[+]LiquidDreamtime -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That’s what u/wntk is doing here. He’s celebrating men because of the actions of 1 man.

I just pointed out the hypocrisy of crediting men with the save, but not crediting men with the crime. It’s either or. The actions of one represent us all, or they don’t.

I’m arguing that they do not. The rest of you are saying they do (if it’s good) but do not (if it’s bad). You’re logically inconsistent.

[+]LiquidDreamtime 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Are you agreeing with me?

I’m the one saying “just because this person is a hero and a man, doesn’t mean we can celebrate men as hero’s”

You just elaborately saying what I’ve been saying from the start.

[–]plumberack 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Why attribute violence to all men if you don't want to attribute heroism?

[+]LiquidDreamtime 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This is the exact opposite of everything I’ve said. Are you agreeing with me?

If we get the accolades of heroism, then we should also carry the blame for the violence. We get both, or we get neither.

Everyone here seems to be advocating for congratulating men for being heroism, but dismissing the violence created by men as unrelated to their gender. It’s inconsistent.

[–]plumberack 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's better to have neither because heroism comes from free will and it's not an attribute. But society considers violence as the attribute of men.

[–]East_Panic8340 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No it really isn’t because a lot of women are also violent. Women commit most child abuse, almost exclusively commit infanticide, commit around half of rapes, commit about half of DV(lesbian relationships are actually more abusive than gay ones), commit almost all nanocides, etc. What you are arguing makes zero sense. Men don’t don’t perform heroics against other humans you idiot. Men also almost exclusively save others from fires, flooding, earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis, tornadoes, car accidents, animal attacks, boats sinking(remember women and children first), and much more. The fact that you automatically ignored all this(and many other situations) to go straight to murders and attacks shows you have an agenda. Men make up the majority of murder victims. So that means the minority of victims are women even if you include the ones killed by other women. That means you took a minority of a minority and ignored the vast majority ti try to make your idiotic point🤦🏾‍♂️.

[–]UpstairsNo8810 15 points16 points17 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

  1. OP used the word "women" to refer to women.

  2. Your comment is a common red herring used by feminists. We have an example of a man dying to protect a girl, and all you care about is blaming men as a collective unit. Phil Dowdell is a hero but you don't care. You need to point the finger at other men because feminism is a hate group and you are one of the many pieces of shit who subscribe to it.

[+]Aromatic_Ad5473 -12 points-11 points-10 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I never said he wasn’t a hero….but this post wasn’t about him being a hero. It was taking a jab at women

[–]UpstairsNo8810 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I don't think you're a great person to ask about what this post was about. You internally translated "women" into "females" and tried to slip that under the radar as if that's what OP had said.

In that regard, why are feminists like you always so triggered about the word "females" in the first place? Have you legitimately run out of things to complain about and so a neutral English word is sending you into [literally shaking] status?

[+]Aromatic_Ad5473 -4 points-3 points-2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You’re making a lot of wild assumptions. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the word female. Grammatically, female and woman have their own usage. I’m not triggered and not complaining, but go off.

[–]UpstairsNo8810 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You’re really going to turn this into a “gotcha females” moment? That’s gross

I mean in the context that you used, it's pretty clear what you were saying?

I'm actually legitimately curious. Do you trolls coordinate off-site or something? Or do you just register these accounts on your own? You guys keep posting these messages and then two comments later deny ever having posted them.

It's pretty repetitive and I wonder if it's a collective issue or a coordinated effort.

[+]Aromatic_Ad5473 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I never denied it posting it. I said the word females doesn’t bother me so the context I use it in is irrelevant. You’re the one, to use your word, who was triggered.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

It’s very often. The Titanic really did demonstrate the chivalry that is expected of men (the recent movie lied about the behavior of most people on the ship, women and children were prioritized to get on the life boats once it became apparent that there were not enough boats for all the passengers).
Over at feminist sites, women scream that the fetus that THEY CREATED is a parasite and it does not deserve to exist living off the mother’s body. Pathetic).
