Autistic friend of mine has a crush on a girl. He's handsome, rich, brilliant, but rolled a nat 1 on social skills. He makes her uncomfortable so she starts whining to her friends and they build and build to "He's basically a rapist". Then they spread it around, my friend gets bullied and goes to another school.

People still talk about him months later as though he is the devil incarnate and the girl a tragic victim.

I've pointed out a few times that not only did he never touch her, he never even asked her out. He's just socially inept. And what do I get for defending him? I get reported, bullied, and ostracized for "making her anxious" and "taking the side of the victimizer".

Don't get me wrong, I love electricity and video games but civilization is long dead.
