In April I discovered my SBTXW was having an affair with a coworker that started in the middle of February. After I discovered the affair, I separated from my wife because the living situation with her had become too toxic. Before leaving she told me she ended her affair, wanted to reconcile, had set up marriage counseling for a few months while she finishes up her fellowship, and then hopefully things would go back to normal and we’d move to DC together (as planned) in August.

My wife seemed to waffle during the reconciliation phase for several weeks, she kept repeating she didn’t know what she wanted and didn’t know if she’d ever feel the same way again about our relationship. After a contentious phone call 3 weeks ago, she told me she was filing. At that point I wasn’t surprised, and was content to move on.

On Wednesday I received a barrage of texts messages from a coworker of my STBXW and her AP. The AP is engaged himself, and my STBXW is his mistress. His mistress before my STBXW is the person who contacted me. She let me know that my wife’s affair never stopped, has been pretending that I’m still in Miami with her, happily married, and I’m just oblivious to her affair; everyone in their office talks about her affair and how bad they feel for me.

This former mistress hired a PI to expose him to his fiancé, me (she didn’t know I discovered the affair 2 months ago), and to their HR department. The former mistress was also unaware that he was engaged, and that he was just using her for fun.

I’ve been in contact with their HR department and their is an active investigation. My SBTXW is on vacation this week, but her AP was called into HR yesterday and then sent home. I turned all the salacious info I’ve been sitting on.

The best part? This former mistress gave me the phone number of AP’s fiancé. I called her to tell her about the affair. Turns out…this is his ex fiancé from years ago; the PI got the wrong number. We hit it off talking, and now have a weekend rendezvous planned. She’s more attractive than my STBXW, and has already serenaded with me with some lovely photos.
