I talked about her to my man, and he says he just doesn’t get it. It’s not her age that throws him off, as he thinks there are plenty of attractive women her age who can succeed in dating other men in that age range, but that she looks botched in a bad way and gives him “bad vibes”.

I sort of disagree. Although I think her cosmetic enhancements are for sure a bit heavy-handed, she is extremely fit, well-groomed, and stylish in a seductive way while most other women her age tend to ditch that kind of “bombshell” sex appeal for a more classy “wifey material” look. I’d argue that in order to tempt a man to stray from a stable marriage, you’d have to offer that kind of sensuality and excitement. Why would a man leave what he already has at home for something exactly the same?

Still, in my opinion, her appeal is very much beyond the physical. I think she is extremely charismatic, has strong AMORAL girl-game, and I find her fascinating even if I personally wouldn’t do a lot of the things she’s done. In terms of RPW theory, she falls more under the Virtuous Whore archetype than the Sexy Madonna. The “whore” part is no insult: you don’t bag 3 top 5% men in one lifetime without being a bit strategic, transactional, and calculated about your love life. She also embodies the whore with that overt sensuality I mentioned earlier.

She is virtuous in Bezo’s eyes because if you look at the way she talks about him, she takes every opportunity to gush about him publicly and build him up as this masculine, intelligent, even heroic man (whether that’s actually true or not is up for debate). Her connections to Hollywood and the media as a former TV anchor allow him to bridge the gap between the boring “nerdy” side of tech to the fun, cool, and glamorous world of entertainment, which is amazing for Bezos who has often shown his desire for notoriety and fame. She also has invested heavily into areas that are of interest to him: not many women are licensed pilots with their own aviation companies that can confidently fly and land helicopters. Because of that, he’s put her as the “head” (but realistically I would say she is the face) of an all-female crew on Bezo’s future space trip. She has all of these traditionally masculine ventures while still being open about her femininity: she regularly posts cooking videos, dresses extremely femininely, and talks often about her children.

I think she is a good real-life example of having the Girl Game of Lucifer’s Daughters. If you watch her interactions with men pre-Bezos, you can see just how capable she is of charming powerful men. Check out this analysis of how she interviews Bill Clinton: she uniquely flatters him about his health and vitality knowing that most people would try to talk to him about his politics and also knowing that he is an aging playboy who is probably feeling his mortality. She understands men and the art of seduction and persuasion.

Some may argue that Jeff Bezos is not a HVM or whatever, and that’s fair - not everyone wants that kind of life or that kind of man, and he has shown his fair share of questionable traits and behaviors. But a man who is capable of starting out with a single teen mom and a middle-class family and ending up one of the richest people in the world is not stupid, and it takes STRONG girl game in order to lock that down and become his muse. If you ever look at their leaked text messages during their affair (and I highly recommend you do - they’re incredibly cringey and hilarious), you’ll see that he has a nickname for her: Alive Girl. She makes him feel alive, and that is something powerful to bring to a relationship with a man whose entire world is filled with responsibility, risk, and decision-making. She decided that he was what she wanted, she learned exactly what he wants, and she became capable of giving it to him.

As much as men like younger women, it’s not the be all and end all imo. Plenty of people find love again after their first or second divorce. People in nursing homes fall in love. I went to a wedding last year and the bride was 37, first marriage.

Perhaps when you’re that wealthy you care more about looks. I bet her girl game is on point.

So what could possible land a woman of her history in Bezos' bed? OP, you listed her negatives - the exes and kids. Which would normally be bad, sure. But look at her "positives":

Money on that level works differently than you or I understand. If she wants to look as young and beautiful as possible, she can. Now, I think she's hideous, but I've only seen stills of her - she may very well have the in-motion attractiveness that really predatory women can often exude.

But as for how she landed Bezos? That one's a LOT easier:

Billionaire does not equal high value. Jeff Bezos is wealthy, but he exhibits traits that I would personally find undesirable. He's known to have a massive temper, treats his employees like garbage, and he obviously cow-tows to public opinion in spite of his personal beliefs. No thanks. I'd take an even-keeled, honest, middle class guy over that drama any day. My mom always said "If you marry for money, you earn every penny."

A) Access. Once can think "Bezos $$$$$ makes him ultra high value, he can have just about any woman, blah, blah..." but comparatively few will be able to be in the room with him, and those will likely be curated by the people around him. Sanchez had access to him because she was married to one of his friends.

B) Just bc Bezos is an alpha at business doesn't mean he is in his personal relationships. I would bet real $ that he has about zero game. If you look at photos of him when he was younger, you understand why he and McK married each other: they were a couple of pencil-neck no-hopers.

Bottom Line: Sanchez was the predator and Bezos was the fat-wallet prey.

LateralThinker covered a lot of territory well. There's an aspect of Bezos' relationship abilities that hasn't really been explored yet, though. But first off:

She has upper echelon access. You could be a 10/10 for your age and not get a billionaire because you only hang around guys who take the bus.
Her wealth mitigates what could be downsides - she's bought a very particular "beautiful for her age" look, and could have two day nannies and one night nanny for each teen if she wants, for example.
Speaking of those bought looks, for the plastic sex doll aesthetic she's going for, she's not just "attractive for her age". She's in a dizzying percentile. And clearly Bezos is into that look.

This "uber rich men don't need game" idea is laughable. Uber rich men can't fail s*** tests, fail comfort tests, DEER constantly to their partner, fall into nice guy behavior with no boundaries and no leadership for their partner, let their sex life die, and be fine. All that being uber rich means is that the financial cost of a distressed wife is far, far worse. Multibillion dollar worse in Bezos's case. It's true that a man who has the frame with others to earn millions and billions is less likely to have a poor frame with a romantic partner, but that is by no means a rule.

Most men aren't RP aware, in regards to intersexual dynamics. An alpha male in the boardroom is not necessarily an alpha male in the bedroom. Frankly, my wife and I are above average in looks department. I would be embarrassed to be seen with her.

I live in LA, and watch the channel 5 news everyday. She was intelligent, beautiful and a damn good reporter. I'm in shock how a woman like Laura could totally look in the mirror and think how great she looks. A pity indeed.
