Until divorce laws change to reflect modern times its absolutely not worth it. Its a matter of statistical fact that 50% of marriages end in divorce and 70% of those divorces are initiated by women. You risk losing everything you've earned if your wife gets bored and decides to leave you. Forget prenups too, those get tossed out of courts easily.

For men, there is literally no benefit. Most have been brainwashed to think that there is a benefit. I will never legally get married again.

Marriage is a legal contract. It is also the only contract on earth where the party breaking it (80% of the time women) benefits immensely.

If you want kids hire a surrogate and a Nanny. Sounds expensive but it is waaaaaaaaay cheaper in the long run.

Marriage is 100% not worth it if you have a lot of assets, a high net worth, and high paying career/ business.

It’s literally signing off that you will give up half your assets if your wife leaves you, which she can do whenever she wants, for whatever reason she wants. She could literally cheat on you, get caught, and then take half your shit, the kids, the house after the divorce.

There is no benefit; only risk.

I've been with my "wifey" for 8 years. It is basically a marriage without the certificate and ceremony. My best friend has been with his gf for 12 years, not married either. Basically, imo i don't see the point in getting married, especially not with the current state of society and / or economy. It's pretty bad here in terms of the housing market as well. That besides the fact of finding someone compatible.

31 year old man here. I've thought about it for years, and it just doesn't make sense for a man to get married. I could consider being in a long term relationship, maybe even have children with a woman, but I'll never get married.

I also never plan on owning property with a woman. She's welcome to live with me, but when the day comes that I find her cheating on me, or the paternity test says the kid ain't mine, her shit will be on the curb and her number blocked faster than she can say "I'm sorry".

Know your state laws. Beware of common law marriages.

I’m married and I do regret it. I’m not planning on divorcing because I do still get along with her. But we are basically roommates. She is another person who I have to clean up after. We have children I want the best for them staying together is best for them. I’m also not into being financially ruined from family court. I honestly want nothing to do with other women seeing the trash that is modern women. So divorcing just so I can roll the dice on some new gash is out of the question. I have many single friends who have the worst time dealing with women today. Most are mgtow now.

I don't know the stats, but I'd guess most marriages would be considered good by those married for long periods of time.

The "fifty percent divorce rate" is bad math.

For instance, the widely quoted 50% divorce rate in the US probably came from a best-guess prediction that has yet to come true, or from a shortcut method of comparing the number of divorces and marriages in the same year. This is not considered to be an accurate method for assessing the divorce rate because it does not compare equivalent groups.

The thing is, dividing the annual divorce rate by the annual marriage rate is useless. The same people getting married in 2016 aren't the ones getting divorced in 2016. So by measuring the divorce rate that way, you don't get any sense of how divorce rates change across different generations, which is what you need to understand if you want to see how divorce rates are trending.

It wasn’t calculated off of the actual number of marriages and divorces. Instead, it was a projection from the 1970s. The projection was based on the baby-boomer generation and stated that if 2% of those married continued to divorce each year, the divorce rate would eventually hit 50%.

Starting in 1980, however, the baby boomers started divorcing at a higher rate, and this trend continues through present day. ... Conversely, the younger generation today has a much lower rate of divorce.

However, what must be considered is that this statistic only takes into account the marriages and divorces that occurred in a given year.

For example, the Centers for Disease Control reported a 6.9 divorce rate per 1,000 marriages in 2016. The CDC hasn’t reported a divorce rate over 8.2 since 2000. Since 2009, the CDC has reported divorce rates lower than seven divorces per 1,000 marriages each year.

That over used statistic is an example of something I hate, math abuse.

Find a conservative traditional woman. Who will lean on you, depend on you completely by her own choice (because she understands that is how things function or have functioned for thousand of years). Obviously, she should also be significantly younger than you but, obviously again, she should be 18+ and no more than 10 years younger than you. Treat them good with love and respect, lead the way for them. They will be good wives and good mothers. They will support your decision as a man and when you fail at something they will console you and help you move forward. With this kind of women you cannot expect a western-modern behavior... They will reserve everything they have, just for you. So where will you find woman with such lifestyles?, All most exclusively in the continents of Africa and Asia. Then once you find one and propose to her and marry her, you can either live happily in her country or bring her along to one of these western countries but if you do bring with, you have to be careful that people here don't about your lifestyle, because if they do you are the worst man amongst the already shit man, because here all men are just crap and piece of shit. Here, you are supposed to just look down work like a b**** and go home serve your western wife like a dog you are and then that one day you raise your legitimate opinion you will lose your job, your wife will leave with her boyfriend taking almost all your stuff and you will find your self sitting in a bar drinking yourself to death.

I’m 28, my ex wife left me for another man a couple years ago, her excuse? I was working too many hours and not spending enough time with her, I did everything I was suppose to as a man, I’m a calm person, I do not argue, keep in mind we have a 8 year old together, now she’s across the country with my son and with another man and now I pay 1200 a month in child support and I see my kid for 1 week every 8 weeks, marriage didn’t work out for me but I’m hopeful one day I’ll find someone who cares maybe even a little bit about me. Us men get screwed over constantly but you know what? These problems are what makes us into the men we are suppose to be, keep moving forward, never loose sight of your end goal.

Dating is a mess, people are a mess, but it is what it is. It’s beyond your control, so just let it be what it is.

Now, what I think is actually worth contemplating is how to be a fulfilled person just by yourself. I really think everything else is secondary. No, not all women are snakes. I think it’s your frustration speaking. Just don’t worry about other people, or women in that case.

I think the healthiest way is to have a spine to embrace the fact that you can only contol your own life (to a degree) and the rest needs to be let go of. Have integrity. The rest will come, or not come, but it doesn’t matter until you stay true to yourself. A samurai doesn’t have a goal, just the path. Simple, grounded truth that I believe would resonate with most men.

And if there is anything I know about life is that you mostly get what you deserve (women included).
