Neither sex starts wars. Wars are started by nations and their leaders.

The sex of the head of state, doesn’t make all citizens of the same sex responsible for going to war.

Most of the soldiers sent to die in wars are men, not women.

Later addition: If one looks at the casualties where sex is known in the Ukraine, there are far more men killed.

Imagine noticing a pattern in the physical appearance of leaders during wars and saying something like:

"Women die in wars created by people with blue eyes."

Insert any other physical characteristic like ethnicity, sexual orientation, height, hair colour, etc, and ask yourself why does it sound so bizarre? Is there really a correlation to suggest that a physical factor like eye colour would lead to warmongering? And what about that behaviour would immediately transfer to the entire group of people with blue eyes? It's obviously stupid. Yet, in the case of men this stereotype is acceptable and even promoted in the media.

Even if historical examples of leaders who were not men disprove the stereotype, the underlying point here is that we must understand that correlation does not imply causation. It could ultimately be that people who become leaders will tend to be ambitious in an unhealthy manner, or that the power of being a leader has a corrupting influence on their personality, leading to this eventual outcome no matter what the initial variables are. And indeed, that is the much more reasonable option. But there are other rational explanations that deserve consideration as well, apart from blaming every ill in the world on men as a group.

You know what, let's just reword the title for a bit of fun.

"Women die in wars created by people with dangly bits."

LOL. This statement is ignorant, dumb, and ultimately wrong, just like all bigotry is.

Perhaps they are conflating the civilian casualties with military casualties.

The feminist Wikipedia says that in modern conflicts around 2:1 to 3:1 civilian to combatant casualty rates are usual.

Still, the civilians are probably 50:50 male female meaning all the combatants are men and men die more in war.

I couldn't find any reference with actual numbers of male vs female civilian casualties of war.

It's also very weird to see « a man » starting a war. They just see the « man » behind the function or the position. It's actually very misandrist and again, it's about making it a gender issue when it has no reason to be

What's so funny is when they try to say that men start wars because of toxic masculinity lmao, as if it was out of pride or rivalry. What a way to over-simplify the start of a conflict between nations. It's crazy how they don't know anything about men's behavior yet they try to theorize about it as if we were pokemons or something

The quote you mentioned isn't worth your time and attention. There is a way to explain this so that it is true. But to what purpose would this observation serve? Depending on how it is explained, it seems to either state a general truth (not worth responding to) or to promote a conclusion. In case of the latter, that conclusion is what should be attacked as opposed to an untrue premise when possible.
