My wife identifies as a feminist and participated to some discussion groups. Most of the groups sustain the false narrative that men abandon their women when they get severely ill, specially in cases of cancer, so very often she would ask me if I would leave her if she got sick and of course said no and I would take care of her.

Now, you may think this situation is dumb or funny because I thought the same. The other day she broke her thumb, nothing too bad but she had to immobilize her whole hand and I had to shower her for a whole month since she was unable to do it by herself.

She got somewhat shocked that I took care of her and that was enough for her to understand she was getting paranoid for nothing, although I think a broken thumb can't compare to the care needed when getting something so severe such as cancer. So she decided to quit these groups realizing they weren't making any good for her and she had unfounded concerns that have been created by feminist paranoia and willing of blaming men for everything. And that's exactly what I have always told her: very often feminism creates problems that do not exist.
