in the same vein, it’s interesting that staff gender disparity among directors and VPs vs regular office was never discussed as a diversity deficit while I was working at a public university.

Coincidentally, the majority of directors and VPs were women, while the daily office drones, maintenance, janitorial, IT, and on-call housing staff (AKA wake up at 3am Sunday morning to tell students to stop smoking pot) etc were nearly entirely men.

Apparently that was not something worthy of discussion at any of our Diversity Equity and Inclusion meetings. But they did find time to impress the importance of gender neutral bathrooms and how the decades long ban of lighting candles in the dorms is apparently racist.

That means any 25 year old former server with an associates in nursing thinks she's above a plumber, even if said plumber owns his business, has 100 guys working for him, and is sitting on 7 figure income.

I think it’s pretty clear what the agenda is. Feminism (despite the occasional, superficial pretence) is a bourgeois movement: upper middle class women crying “victim” and demanding more for themselves. That’s why they focus on high end jobs. They may moan about how badly paid daycare workers are, but they don’t seriously campaign to increase them - at most they demand that the government (ie the taxpayers) pay more, they never suggest that career women should pay higher fees for better establishments that paid premium rates for the best staff.

No, the “gender wage gap” is to be “closed” by hiring more women for high paying/high status roles. And by “fast tracking” them in career development and promotions. And who are the women mostly favoured by this treatment???? Well it’s the upper middle class ones that feminism is centred around. Who’d have thunk it???

And people claim this stuff is “left wing”!!!!!

Which, of course, makes sense. They don't really see their job as important. It's just how they support themselves until they marry an ambitious man they meet at their job.

Because if you actually read the studies, you'll notice that they're making less as a whole due to taking so much time off, not negotiating salary, and not putting in overtime. So they're seeing the men work harder and expect to get the same pay for less work. There was some study that looked at google employees and it discovered that the men were actually being paid less for the same amount of work.

If someone wants to talk about the inequality when it comes to money, then talk to them about the inequality in the work force. If they want to talk about how men get paid more than women, then talk to them about how more men are doing risky jobs like working in mines rather than spending time inside a temperate controlled office where their behinds are on a soft padded office chair.
