To summarise many of the comments: this is a child support issue, not a marriage one. If you think you get to dodge such imposts as this one just by not getting married, think again. You’re living in a fool’s paradise if you imagine that. Feminist inspired laws will impose the same costs without even a formal promise she will stay loyal. The way things are going all you dodge by not marrying the woman you live with is the cost of the reception.

This is why MGTOW exists.

let me explain some concepts here, that are partially true.

Partial Truth 1: Child support is for the children, not for the mother. That is only partially true. Whereas the child has needs that are addressed directly to the child (ie costs for activities etc), the parent who receives support benefits from them. They have a bigger house with a bigger living room, amenities like a driver for the child, the accompany the child to the summer vacation activities etc.

Partial Truth 2: Child support is for the bio children, not the non-bio. In theory yes. In practice good luck separating who gets a new Nintendo Switch and who is not allowed to play. These expenses can also be justified in the court: "Well, I took my child from another father on vacation with the bio child of this guy, because if I did not, the first three children, would not be able to go on vacation and we all know what a tragedy is that."

Partial Truth 3: Marriage does not play a role here, it is the parent-child relationship that kicks in. Well, the guy has made an arrangement based on his marriage relationship. Otherwise, he could have made sure, that he established a system where the woman works and third persons are taking care of the children, so when the time for separation comes, the mother has no grounds to claim "I am the primary caretaker".

Partial Truth 4: It's only fair for the children that there is some support. I will not claim that the children should live in poverty. But if someone is causing separation, forcing a couple to now have to maintain two different houses... that creates needs, that would have never existed in the first place. And most people are not rich-renown actors, like the guy here. They just try to make-by with their own means.
