The red pill always likes to blame the so called 80/20 phenomenon on female hypergamy. That is to say, women always wanting the best cut of the distribution. Therefore the average man is not attractive to women etc.

But, is this some innate instinct or whatever and not just inherent lower libido? Like for the women that are part of this subreddit, does the average man on the street( not on OLD) just seem meh or is he actually repulsive? If its the first, then I think its just an inherent libido difference. That is to say, due to having way less testosterone, one would need way more beauty triggers to actually feel any sort of active attraction. But if that is the case then the whole women are as sexual as men narrative would be evidently false. Women would be as sexual, but only under very specific circumstances. But way less so under normal ones.

Now if the average man on the street is actively repulsive, then that could be a case for hypergamy. As being indifferent to an average gene, would mean being open to losing on the best slice. Thus active repulsion for anything but the best would ensure that the best is actively striven for.

I personally think hypergamy has to be bogus because the contrast principle is a real thing, That is to say, compared to something better, the other thing appears less appealing. (hot water to normal and then to cold or gaming PC to normal PC and then to potato pc, or Chad to Average to Ugly etc). And this principle is common to both genders. And its kinda very hard to differentiate from hypergamy if one takes OLD as the environment where it would occur. Because OLD is perfect breeding ground for the contrast principle. I am sure if most dudes would not indiscriminately swipe, then the same 80/20 or similar would appear from the male side as well.
