My STBXW recently friended all my friends on FB. She claims she is going to share videos of us fighting and "how I really am". I said.. please do. It will show all them what a piece of shit you are for actually doing something like that. Also.. if my friends see stuff like that and think I am awful.. and dont account for the 1000s of other times we did not record of you being a piece of shit.. then they aren't my friends.

I would expect most people to understand there are two sides to every story, and if someone is sharing shit of another.. they should understand there are two sides and likely that person trying to hurt the other is themselves hurting and reacting (in a bad way).

I'd turn that shit around on her. If people reached out and/or responded that they saw video of me yelling at her, etc. .and that I am awful. I'd simply say, did you see the video of what started that and how she was yelling to begin with.. or are you just reacting to her side without knowing the whole picture? If their response is still in support, I'd simply say it sounds like you're unwilling to see both sides of the story and I really dont have time for people like that in my life, so best of luck to you. Then remove connection. Simple.

It's SUPER easy to make new friends. I dont even know you and we're friends now. :D.

There's basically nothing you can do about it. All three of my ex-wives went on a defamation spree to any joint friends we had to a lesser or greater extent. The positive is you find out quickly who your real friends are. The last divorce I lost a friend who I'd known for 10 years before I'd ever met the ex, and whose wedding I'd been his best man. He never even asked my side of the story and just believed her lies straight away. But now I know who will have my back when I need them.

There needs to be some boundaries. You could have your lawyer contact her lawyer and send a cease-and-desist about character, assassination, or slander and threatening a big lawsuit to get her to shut her mouth. If it were me, I would find a way to set some parameters she needs to stay in her lane and zip it and move on.

All her friends and family know she has a large family. she was out every week with a friend to bring the news. I kept being me by minding my own business. I still bring my kids to school, say hello to the other parents like I always do and just move on.
