If you place yourself around people you find attractive then you find that it's easier to spark the conversation.

GOOD SHIT BRO!! Now keep it going! approach 20...50....100! more girls this week! even if its just to say a quick comment on their outfit or energy. (not anything on their looks though). Take those nerves and use it as adrenaline to fuel you and crush that approach anxiety. It never REALLY goes away but it becomes second nature and almost a sidenote like breathing lol.

Also though you unintentionally did the right thing by just talking to her friends back and forth, sometimes focusing on the friends works better than talking to the girl herself because it shows an implied comfort with women and unbothered demeanor. Slight disinterest can work wonders. again good shit bro, and keep it up! 👊

Before I get into the meat of this, it's great progress for you to have done this.... Breaking through that feeling of nervousness is one of the hardest things. Now let's get into what you can do to improve the results here.

I did a cold approach at my uni. I approached a set of 6 girls lol. I opened with "Excuse me, I was eating my sandwitch right there and You have caught my eye". I was nervous as fuck, but got smiles from all the girls.

So right upfront, what you have is you walking up and interrupting them. You didn't offer anything except a dump of what was in your head, stuff that pertained only to you and what you were doing and thinking, really.

This unintentionally makes you look like you're inattentive and possibly clueless, when you're not. It's just really hard to keep your head on straight when all that nervousness is coursing through your body.

However, there is a way to focus that will give you better things to say, that dovetail into decent conversations, seemingly made from nothing, only actually from material that was lying around, previously ignored.

More specifically, there are some great coaches out there like David Wygant, who talk about how to use basic, surface level observation to come up with openers and things to talk about after conversation has started. Applying this idea to your situation, this is how your approach could have looked:

You notice the girls, you are already observing before you even walk up.
As you've been observing, you take note of what they're doing. Perhaps eating, and/or studying. Maybe they are ignoring each other and on their phones. Maybe they don't have completely blank faces and in fact, are showing some emotions. Maybe boredom, maybe excitement at a meal they're in the middle of devouring.
As you walk up, you open your mouth and share an observation.
- Like a Captain Obvious observation about what any reasonable person can see with their own two eyes.
- Only it's an observation 99% of people will not bother uttering because they think they need something special.
In sharing that observation you made about what they're doing or feeling right then, you will instantly be relating to them based on what they're doing and thinking about right then. That is the start of some quick connection.
Why? Because when you start off by talking about something relevant to what they were literally doing or thinking, they'll often be up for talking about it.

None of this guarantees they'll welcome you. Nothing does. But it does increase your chances and decreases the work involved because you're just making use of information that's already lying around.

Serious question, what is the benefit to approach groups instead of just a girl on her own? I have no issues approaching a single girl and hitting it off but would never consider a group of more than 2 maybe 3 because it seems so much is out of my control. What if one is a bitch and shuts you down and causes embarrassment then harming your chances?
