Not sure I completely agree, though I respect the intent of your post. IMO girls dress up primarily to feel good about themselves, it provides them confidence to be amongst her peers. Competition is based on attention, the more looks she gets (from both guys and girls) the bigger her sense of self.

Your central message of girls 'wanting you' is correct, but with one caveat, she'll want you if it aligns with her sense of empowerment/achievement.

I'm inclined to agree with the OP. A lot of women I've seen are far more competitive than us guys :)

They will often compare themselves with each other based on their looks, but how often do us guys care about how others guys look? lol We're often so focused on women that we almost forget about other guys unless they get in our way!

girls think they all that when they young, but when they start to hit late 20s and 30s, then they start to humble dat bitch attitude up, and not be so picky.
But when they young, they bitchy and picky as hell. Women's hawtness don't last long. they expire pretty fast.

if u think about it, when women start to hit their expiration date of late 20s and early 30s, that's when men start to hit their best age and most desirable.

Also, if any of you have actually talked to these girls you'll realize...not many people approach them. And they wonder why (depending on the person). If you go up and talk to them, they will be happy.

This is how the hottest girl in my sophomore year of college ended up with the punt returner of the football team. He just talked to her, no one else did.

Sure you can use that as a technique to calm your nerves...but don't let it make you so chilled that you become cocky. Women don't like that and we don't always want the guy everyone else wants...we all have different taste. Prophet6 is right.

Don't really know where to post this, but can someone help me? I have a party tomorrow, and all 30ish people there are from my school, and I feel I can't have fun, as they'll somehow judge. I would rather find new people to speak to.

This is good advice, it gets me out of a rut of "I'm not good enough for them" to "I am good enough".

I have poor self-confidence so ideas like this really help.

Sometimes I wonder who writes those topics...15 year olds? They don't necessarily want YOU, they want like you said a "cool guy".

"You" and a cool guy can be as similar as a fish and a bike. Unless you're talking to a bunch of hot, witty, cool guys, they are not competing for you.

Approaching a girl is not easy but lying to yourself that all girls want you so badly that they're making themselves pretty for you and are anxiously waiting for you to talk to them, is only going to have disastrous results to your self esteem in the end.

This is not the right mind frame, you don't have to live in your own world to be able to talk to a woman. If some guy listens to this advice and then the girl laughs at his face when he approaches her, what is he supposed to do? Tell himself another lie?
