Hey all- completely unrelated to recent first post.

Am seeing this incredibly cute, solid gal for about a month now. She's definitely is looking to settle down. As of the last week and a half or so I began feeling the push to make more plans, see each other a bit more often. She made it clear at some point she wanted to talk about not dating others, but I deflected. Immediately after our last tryst (and I mean like right after the dirty), she pushed the exclusivity discussion solidly.

I gently and sincerely told her I really liked her but thought it was a little too soon. She pretty much shut down, didn't discuss her feelings, and a pallor was laid on the rest of the day.

The following day I get an email stating that she really needed to think about things and felt embarassed. I responded later that evening with a phone call to just smooth the waters, and told her that when she's ready, we should have a conversation- one that was two way.

Now, she wants to meet for dinner tonight, near her, and states she'd like to continue the conversation. I'm thinking I need to be caring and receptive to what she expresses, and then discuss where I am coming from- firmly and directly, but sensitively. And be prepared for her to fully drop the bomb and walk- and be OK with that if needed.

I very want to see where this goes- as there's definitely a lot of potential, but it's a bit too soon to be pinned down. Any pro-tips that might help smooth the waters?
