[xMODx] Recent Spam Targeted at Seduction Members

This Subreddit has really gone down hill recently. It's gone from a community dedicated to bettering ourselves and learning some tricks of the trade to a nonstop barrage of "I'm an AFC with oneitis, how do I convince the girl who cheated on me to love me?" Most of the stuff on the front page belongs on r/askseddit or r/highschool and the mods aren't doing anything about it. As communities grow mods have to work diligently to keep the sub on track. I think that this sub has lost its way. Mods, please think seriously about putting together some rules and putting the hammer down on all of this "what do" bullshit.

I like both the subreddits. Can we all be adults and skip all this drama? Sure, they spammed your users (myself included), but is that really so bad? Maybe there's a place for both of these subreddits to coexist peacefully.

Hey, mods, why don't you tell people why you actually don't like the guy who's doing the spamming? If you keep your side of the story secret, it lets him claim that you're just picking on him because you're afraid of competition.

You could put a link to his board in the sidebar, with a disclaimer that tells the story about it.

For anyone who hasn't paid attention, this is the story: A while ago, some kid who claims to be a master pickup artist found seddit, contacted the seddit mods, and demanded that he be made a mod. When the other mods declined, he threw a temper tantrum, started his own subreddit, and took to harassing seddit users and mods. When the seddit mods deleted his posts, he claimed that they just didn't want anyone to find out about his board.

One has to wonder why someone who claims to have so much "sex, money, and power" would need to throw temper tantrums over not getting his way on internet forums...

His board is focused on NLP, a scientifically discredited seduction technique, and his members seem to love bullying anyone who disagrees with them. They're like the SRS of the seduction community.

You can check it out if you really want, but you won't be able to post there anyway, since they want to keep it "elite".

I find all the drama to be just silly, but it's probably worth addressing the issue that they're raising. Are moderators here really "blacking out" comments from anyone that questions their moderating practices?

Hopefully that isn't going on, but if so that would be something that I would be at least a little troubled by.

All you have to do is look at the content of their top few posts to understand that they're more interested in their little flame war (and the accompanying spotlight) than they are in actually helping people.

Successful splinter communities begin by focusing on their subject, not the conflict that catalyzed their separation.

I'll stick with whomever does the best job of helping me improve myself -- and right now that's seddit.

Fuck those guys, man. That place is a great example of the cliche douchebag pickup artist community. Seddit may be of lower average quality, but it's a much more realistic, share-oriented place, whereas their little community is a massive OMGLOOKATMEIMSUCHAMPUA circlejerk. Their system of only letting pros submit FR's etc. just leads to a small elite, instead of, like this place, focussing on giving the masses progress.

It'll pass. Good on you for raising awareness.

Edit: Also, the openly hostile and condescending attitude they've displayed towards seddit shows that they're scoundrels of low moral standings, driven by a severe lack of maturity.
