Typically when guys go to the gym, they go straight for the free weights and grunt and sweat to their hearts desire. There is nothing wrong with this. In fact, its a very important part of your workout routine. What I am suggesting is that you mix it up. I don't know if you realized, but spinning class, zumba, yoga, and the other traditionally "female" classes are actually a great workout. More importantly though, these are great places to meet girls. You're in a room full of girls with maybe 1 or 2 other guys there to compete with. If you're new, this is a perfect excuse to talk with some of the more experienced girls and have her show you the ropes. On the other hand, once you are a seasoned veteran, girls will be coming up to you to ask you for help. Lots of time, there is usually a line outside the room before the class. This is a great chance to establish comfort and make a connection before you're dripping with sweat.

And for those of you who think these workouts are soft or easy, I recommend you try it out. Great ways to do cardio and work legs in a fun and interactive environment. Don't bash it til you try.

Has anybody else here ever had any success with this technique?

Edit: I am not trying to say go to the gym just to pick up and creep on women. I started going to spinning with a friend of mine and I loved it. Its one of the most intense workouts you can have. I actually sit in the front of the class because I don't want girls to think im staring at them the whole time and it was one of the reasons I was hesitant to go in the first place. I just made an observation today when some girls starting talking with me in line, asking why more guys don't do it. It just made me realize that this is a great way to meet people and get healthy at the same time. DON'T be creepy or overly flirtatious. Focus on your workout and the game will come.
