Utter newbie here.

I was out on New Year's Eve at a club fairly early on in the night, and during my terrible attempts at all of this guys attempted to dance with me. I'm a guy, so I'm assuming they were gay.

Due to several factors (that it was physically causing me to move, childhood emotional trauma relating to homosexuality), this threw my non-existent game completely off, destroying my frame entirely. Cue me leaving the club, pissed off. The rest of the night is another story, though.

How would you guys deal with this situation, guys trying to dance with you? Or are gay dudes something that ceases to happen to confident, experienced artists?

(NB, of course, due to political correctnes, I'll state for the record that I have no problem with homosexual behaviours, just that I don't like it being forced upon me.)

I've had recent success at bringing girls back from a bar I frequent. I live right next door to it and usually use the line so when are you driving me back to my place. Before this I have already escalated (kino,heavy make out). However every once in awhile I encounter resistance when I try to bring them inside. I think the canned material on here is useful for starters. It's useful and it works. Recently I've grown unhappy going out and just using lines, routines, or methods I've found on sites like this one, so I've started trying to come up with my own methods and routines that are unique to me, which is turning out to be harder than I thought.

I don't see myself as having issues with confidence although I do occasionally get AA or have nights where things don't go how I'd like them to.

What are good ways to self reflect and develop your own style?
