I'm surprised this hasn't occurred to me before. I check the Tops in places like trollx for extra funny stuff but I never thought to check the top in information subs for the 'best' of the advice available.

I think it's probably a mental masturbation thing. Some guys just want to read the same stuff over and over and over again so they can feel content with having the knowledge itself so they don't actually try to approach, and having another user on here tell them how to do so personally in a thread - despite already knowing all that can be read about pickup - can add to that mentality.

I'm interested in being part of a high-quality community that discusses seduction techniques without being "super-douchy". I was surprised and disappointed when a top post yesterday devolved into racist rants and unnecessary anti-feminism.
Are there better places for me to go? Or would there be any interest in starting a private seduction subreddit where quality posts could be more highly valued?

Maybe "super-douchy" is a loaded term (or perhaps too subjective to be useful) - I hesitated using it, but couldn't think of a decent alternative. I don't mean to hate on persuasive behaviours that might seem too aggressive or extreme for the mainstream, but which have the ultimate goal of increasing the pleasure for all parties involved (push-pull, for example, or forcing qualification) or which cater to a reality which has to be dealt with (women prefer dominant men in general, seduction occasionally requires a degree of deception).
I'm referring more to pointless or unhelpful stuff like viewing women as essentially inferior to men, or having a chip on your shoulder about certain groups of people. Maybe this a necessary evil to be dealt with in a community as large as seddit, but I was wondering if there were any smaller communities where this is less of an issue - or, if there isn't, if anyone is interested in forming one.

I see what you mean, we are in agreement.
As far as smaller communities I'm not sure. The issue with /r/seduction is that the only real reason to post is an FR or to ask questions. So by default you have a majority of threads being inquisitive beginners, and novices more prone to having said chips on shoulders.
Id look for a live chatroom of sorts where constant discussion is encouraged.

Sometimes the posts are of high quality, sometimes not so much.
I've seen many reasonable persons in this sub. In fact, they seem much more prevalent here than in other subs about social interaction/the art of being charismatic that I am, or have, subscribed to. But for every person like that, there are many loudmouthed, overly negative persons.

I see your point, but let's be real here. This is reddit. Most subs, after X amoutn of subscribers, may have such conversations at one point.
You have to dig through the dirt to find gold. Recognizing what's gold or not requires a set of fundamental skills. Gain confidence in being able to successfully identify what's good info and what's not.
Identifying quality of information is essential to using the internet in general, and I think most people are getting pretty good at it. I just thought that it was a shame that the opportunity for a good discussion was wasted because more energy was spent complaining about things virtually irrelevant to the original question, or seduction in general.
Seeing as you're subscribed to multiple communities, would you have any recommendations for other places to discuss seduction, or is seddit really the best place for it?

I wholeheartedly agree. I've just not found such a place on reddit yet (concerning improving past advanced stages in social interaction at least). What I have found, is a lot of different resources that I would never have encoutnered if I weren't here. Like this post I recently found from /r/socialskills , but it's a sub that's very newbie oriented - and it's about social skills moreso than seduction.
Sadly, seddit is the best place for seduction-related discussion. I say sadly because the quality varies, as you have seen. But every now and then some of the more experienced and mature guys come out from their shells and share some wisdom, and I have seen some pretty interesting perspectives here. It should be noted that I haven't spent that much energy on searching for other subs though, other than the initial energy I spent when I was new to reddit.. a couple of years ago.
I haven't found a community in which the standard is decent enough to actually expect a decent discussion in the average post. I'm in these communities mainly for the shared content, and perhaps give some advice every now and then.

Can i just say that checking the sidebar of any sub before posting should be your default. I'm sure other cities have this problem but /r/seattle gets about 5-10 posts a day asking "I'm visiting, what should i do!" even though we have a very detailed sidebar/wiki with that exact info and also have a Seattle concierge bot that catches most of the ones that post anyways.

Markdown is the standard format used by reddit, and ignores your numbers and counts up. You could number your post with all ones, or out of order, and it would still count 1, 2, 3, etc. The advantage is that of your write a long list, and them add one at the top, you don't have to renumber it.
