Every time I post on Seddit, there is always ONE guy on the thread who chimes in with exactly the same "Game Denialist" arguments (See this thread for the latest example). Instead of arguing with them one by one, I thought I would create a single FAQ that we could direct Game Denialists, Looks Money & Status and "It won't work for me" guys.

This is a work in progress, and I need your help so please feel free to add common "game denialist" arguments and their retorts in the comments.

Dear Game Denialist

I’m sorry for the impersonal response, but I’ve had this discussion before, and I know where it goes. In fact, there is an army of guys who are almost EXACTLY like you who come comes onto /r/seduction and post the EXACT same things that you are going to post. So I’m just going to answer all your questions once in this one big post.

Lets get started shall we?

Game Denialist: Game doesn’t work, the only things that really matter are Looks, Money and Status (LM&S).

Response: Now, I’ll admit that having LM&S makes things a lot easier, but it’s not true that those are the only things that women are interested in. I know this because I work a lot with guys who have LM&S and still do terribly with women, and I know plenty of guys who have very little LM&S and they do really well.

Game Denialist: Well, I know that LM&S is everything, because I know guys who have LM&S and do amazing, and I have nothing. This is because I have something wrong with me that is completely outside my control.

Response: What you're doing here is engaging in black and white thinking You think that LM&S is either everything, or nothing, while denying that it might be a factor but one that can be overcome.

Have you considered the fact that your problems with women might be at least somewhat under your control? Even if you don’t think that game works, what about going to the gym or working on your style or your attitude?

Game Denialist: Those won’t work either. Maybe some low-class or unattractive women might respond to game or style or improved fitness, but REALLY hot women just blow me off completely, as they do to all men who don’t have LM&S.

Retort: What you're doing here is filtering. You agree that you can get SOME results from working out or working on style, but then you discount them for arbitrary reasons. What about your attitude?

Game Denialist: What do you mean? I have a great attitude and there’s no possible way that my attitude could be causing me problems in my game. I literally constantly have PERFECT attitude, and yet women still treat me like dirt.

Retort: Blaming others and refusing to look at your own role in your problems are common defence mechanisms.

What is the first business of one who practices philosophy? To get rid of self-conceit. For it is impossible for anyone to begin to learn that which he thinks he already knows. - Epictetus

As Are you sure your attitude couldn’t be the cause of just a FEW of your problems?

Game Denialist: I’ll admit I get frustrated a bit, but it’s only because hot women treat me badly. I really have a super positive attitude and I’m always nice to everyone, I’m a perfect gentleman.

Retort: Really? Because I’ve only talked to you over the internet for about 300 words and I think you have a bad attitude. Also, for some reason you like hanging around on seduction forums and telling people that picking up doesn’t work. Do you think that’s something that a positive person does?

Game Denialist: I’m just saying the truth. Game doesn’t work, unless you’re genetically gifted working out doesn’t work. Women want Looks, Money and Status and building “confidence” or improving your “attitude” doesn’t do a damn thing. I hang around on these forums to let people know not to waste their time.

Retort: Well, I think that Nickleback is a shitty band, but I don’t go onto Nickleback forums and argue with people when they talk about their favorite Nickleback song? I’m not deeply invested in my dislike. You, on the other hand, seem to really be emotionally invested in the idea that you can’t improve yourself. Do you see that? Let me guess, you also spend a lot of time on Game Denialist forums that re-enforce your worldview?

Game Denialist: Yes, I spend a lot of time on Game Denialist forums where we complain about how the world isn't fair and how improvement is basically impossible. But I don't see what's wrong with that. The people on those forums are the only people who truly see the world for what it is.

Retort: What you're doing here is seeking out confirmation for your biases, from people who share the same biases as you. Do you really think the guys on some Game Denialist website are actually the elite few who have "figured it out"?

Anyway, at about this point I get angry and the vein on my forehead starts to bulge out and I stop responding, but if anyone else has some common game denialist arguments and their counterarguments, I'd love to hear them.
