There is no “one size fits all” for the right time for anything in life. What I think could matter is if you “rush” into a relationship. I did when I was younger for the same reason as you: Wanted to settle down. So, I got with someone “serious” , someone with goals, with a career, and all that and settle down without taking the time to check for the most important part: Can I have fun with this gal? Do we share the same “scale of value”? The same Interests? We shared the “goal” of building a family but, honestly, that was mostly it! I did “achieve “ the goal of building the family, buying a house, all that shit but once that goal was over, we grew apart because we were pretty much different in many aspects!

When I ended up the (toxic) relationship, I wanted to smash! And I did, and with some of them, I developed more connections with some of them, so I saw them multiple times, and I grew the connections with one in particular, more and more, and we grew to like each others and ended up in something more serious, and it was built around shared interests, shared goals, and shared views.

So, my advice is this: Continue smashing, and keep contact with the one you like to spend time with. Spend more time getting to know them and if you’re made for each others, if you answer each other’s needs, you’ll grow into a relationship naturally. Just don’t rush with the first one that wants to “settle down” with you out of fear, scarcity or neediness.

Communication makes everything better, and when you are just banging without hanging, you are missing some seriously mind blowing stuff.

That said, do you rush into a relationship? Hell no. Find someone you actually like for that, but don't be picky as hell either.

That's awesome man. I know the feeling (usually go through cycles of it... 2 years of serious dating, then 1-2 years of monogamy, then repeat. I'm currently in a relationship again).

Relationships when timed right can be incredible, especially if you've gone through the trials and tribulations of dating several people now.

You'll come into a relationship with lots of lessons and value under your belt, so I would recommend you jump in!

Both actually, I believe that the only way to find love is to have multiple partners. If you're having sex/dating with multiple people and you find yourself wanting to hangout with one more than the others, that's where love is. All this bullshit about monogamy from the get go is stupid to me. It's like if you were forced to pick your favorite movie but, have only seen one.

Have you tried.... connecting with the smashed? Being friends and letting them know that this is either a one time thing or only a physical thing, but you're open to stay in touch or be friends and such? Even take them on dates but not to commit?

I found that rather enjoyable, it's kinda... basically dating? Except you start with the intent to just fuck but leave it open to be friends but also having the ability to just nope the fuck out because you made it clear in the beginning.

I fell into a relationship pretty soon after getting out of one recently (after a few weeks of hoeing). I hadn't planned it, and hadn't expected anything more with the girl.

I wouldn't describe myself as a relationship person, but I prefer great sex with 1 person to okay sex with many. And that's not mentioning the emotional benefits. I haven't been seeing this girl for long, but I legit turned down a threesome for her last week, so that pretty much answers the q.

As a 23yo guy who just rencently got out of a 4 years relationship, i have to say that after 3 month of being single, im far happier being free and hooking up with new people. I think you should enjoy your prime years cause you wont get them back ! And if you meet that certain lady at some point, you'll know it !
