This shit happened to me last weekend. Great chemistry, kino, making out on first date yada yada yada. Texting me the next few days about my day...a smiley face with kiss in the am then a few hours later I get a message about her not being in the right head space and not wanting to continue. I told her good luck...no begging or being needy.

Quick story:

I met this girl and we went on a few dates. We hit it off and had amazing chemistry.We kissed, hooked up, met her friends, and did all that cute dating stuff.

Last Sunday, I had the chance to meet her sister and cousin the day before I got this message from her. I thought it went well but I guess not.

Later that Sunday night we talk for a bit and I can feel that something is off. I text her good morning and the photo above is the response I received.

Self Reflection

If this was me last year I would've been bent out of shape. I would've fired off some corny replies and attempt to get her back.

I've been dealing with on and off depression for years. Facing back to back rejection in my dating, personal, and professional life.

The same thing always happened and I always got ghosted by women who I thought were interested in me. I realized that it was probably the vibes I was putting off. I got tired of this and decided to make a change in my life.

After a lot of soul searching, journaling, reading, confessing to mother about our issues growing up(yes I had mommy issues), and self improvement I've learned to love myself and not settle or fight for anyone who doesn't feel the same as me.

Guys and gals, learn to love yourself. No one is going to love you more than you are. If someone doesn't share the same feelings as you then that's okay! You're going to feel down about it for the moment, but it's not forever. Keep working on yourself and learn to love yourself King and Queens.

Ok so I'm not really saying this happened because of that but try giving girls some time between dates, like a few days and keep texting to a bare minimum during the attraction phase. Specially if she is not replying.

It might help with such situations.

There is always two sides (or more) to a story.

In my opinion, the good news is that you didn't beg for her acceptance. The bad news it sounds like you invested in the relationship more than a usual "fling" which is perfectly normal; but I think you came off pretty harsh and cold in the last message. I think you kind of backed yourself into a corner. Basically saying "It's either serious or nothing at all". How did you two "meet"? Cold approach? Online? Through a friend?

Were yall ever friends first? How many times did you hook up with her? Whose idea was it for you to meet her family and friends?

Good for you man. I wasn't a huge fan of the last message because I felt that can be interpreted as pretty harsh, but I struggled to find a replacement that is just as strong. I think maybe taking out the "I have plenty of friends" is better because it sounds snarky and it doesn't add any value or meaning to the message
