Treat all questions like this just like they're coming from a date: agree and amplify.

Most people are just curious when they ask things like this, AA just makes it a fun conversation. Change the story every time. Make the story fun / funny, but present it seriously like it's real.

Eventually you tell the real story, but in the same tone, so it's "just another story" . And you tell a different one after that.

Do it with a sense of fun. Make the stories silly.

People are less apt to criticise if it's always entertaining.

I need more context. What was said before the parent line? Have you slept with this girl? Have you spoken about going on dates and being intimate?

I would say something like "We'll they are going to want to know about my future ex wife"
