You should own it. Confidence is super sexy and one of the most attractive things. If she says anything along the lines about not wanting it to be a date then I would pull out the friend card. My best friend (m) and I (f) have best friend dates regularly. Yes, we call them dates. & I wouldn’t change it for anything.

I noticed you used the word “kinda” like her. Seems like you’re not sure... Also, if it’s a date or not. Do you know what it is? If you don’t, then she really will be confused. If you want it to be a date then don’t be afraid to tell her “if” she asks. I’m sure she would assume it was if nothing was said on either side. So if it isn’t then you should make that clear to her from the beginning before going out.

Look, if you invite her to hang out, this won't come up unless she's awkward.

So you're already overthinking shit a bit too much. It's pointless to invest ALL this energy into all the what ifs, because only one outcome will actually occur and it's most likely going to be something you didn't quite see coming.

That said, if she asked this, playful direct is the best attitude. Not serious. Not evasive. Like, "Yes."

But if you're just inviting her to hang out one on one to do something, the proposal shouldn't be so monumental or serious enough where she would be asking something like this.

Like don't tell her that you want to take her out to dinner or some formal situation like that. Suggest something playful and interesting or fun.

Here is a bit of advice from an older fellow since it was mentioned somewhere you are 19. I wasted time being afraid of losing a friend when I should of asked them out or told them how I felt.

She is your friend now but friends drift apart. She could move somewhere or you will. You might meet some new people and start hanging out with them or etc. Long story short you are going to have regret years from now that you didn’t do anything.

Really the only friends I have been able to keep are my family. They will always be there. Friends come and go. So stop wasting time with friends that are girls.
