Hey guys, so I had a situation happen yesterday where I had met this girl briefly and exchanged contact information 3 weeks prior. She traveled to another city and finally came back, so we were actually going to hang out and talk.

In fact, we talked about staying at the same Airbnb and everything like this. Long story short, I go to meet her with her and her friend, and they have their luggage because they're coming in from a different city.

We're all traveling internationally right now. I say hey to her, and there's a guy sitting there as well who I've never seen and didn't know about. I briefly meet him too, and I was chatting with her, and as I start to talk to her... "How have you been? Et cetera, right?" (I'm going to start to reconnect with her and build a vibe.)

He starts interjecting in the conversation, hey, man, how are you? Really loudly. Where are you from? What do you do for work? He just starts going on this interview type question series and just being annoying and not letting me have a moment to myself with this girl.

Problem is she had just met him on the bus over there, and he was a friendly guy, and so it was sort of a new acquaintance slash friend for her, so I couldn't just sort of ignore him or be rude, but I also could feel my state going down every time I would respond to one of his questions....

But he was so interruptive that I didn't know how to handle it. Long story short, it really did sort of disrupt the vibe, and I feel like it put the scenario on the wrong foot.

How do I handle a situation like that where it's maybe a mutual friend of the girl or a new acquaintance who's basically trying to talk to me and not let me have a moment alone with the girl?
