I feel terrible and I'm not sure if I made the right decision or not. My STBX moved out temporarily since June. It has been a highly contentious divorce and an emotionally and verbally abusive marriage. She has been convinced that I have had an affair (which I havent) and has gone on countless Betrayal trauma retreats, wives of betrayed spouses, etc. She told me God showed her I have been hiding a relationship and that there is nothing she can't forgive me of if I co fess it to her... the only thing is I have not had a relationship nor have I cheated on her.

She came to the house the other day while my house cleaner was here with her 6 year old daughter, got I'm the house cleaners face, was screaming at her. I was resting (I am disabled with a chronic disease and also have a ptsd diagnosis because of her). My cleaner called the police. My STBX cornered me in the master bedroom, screaming at me and accusing me of getting sexual favors from the cleaner. I asked for 4 minutes for her to let me leave or for her to leave (she was blocking the door and wouldn't let me out). I got all of it on video. She lunged at me twice, grabbed my arm and turned my phone off twice.

The cops calmed her down and got her to leave then told me I should consider filing a protective order. My cleaner was afraid she was going to hit her and I have an affidavit from her saying such.

The next day I went to the courthouse, met a judge and was granted a no contact protective order. She can't come near the house or she will get arrested. She was served today.

We have two kids. And I feel terrible, like I just took our already contentious divorce and took it to the next level.

I'm a Christian and I'm really struggling with not wanting to blow things out of proportion. Yet after rewashing the videos it was far worse the. I remembered.

This is a mess.
