Once it’s removed, it’s gone forever. I don’t understand how is that being dishonest, you made a choice to get one and then you made a choice to remove it for life. Not dishonest at all. It’s just a choice.

The only time a tattoo is a “red flag” is if you spent money irresponsibly (meaning: no retirement, bills weren’t paid, no emergency fund, but still spending money on tattoos).

If a man asks, be honest and tell him you had your tattoos removed. Never lie.

The guy who said that was trying to knock you down a peg because he’s neurotic and weird.

Not at all. If you want them gone then by all means have them removed. If it comes up in conversation, obviously be honest - to me, the biggest red flag of all this dishonesty - but other than that, it’s your body and you can have tattoos or not.

Tattoos are only a red flag to some men. Any man that has a problem with tattoos would have minimized his dating pool significantly, because most women have a tat by now.

Don't remove your tattoo unless it really didn't mean anything to you, and was truly representing a phase of impulsivity to you.

I don't think you should listen to those men. Everyone has shortcomings, the important thing is knowing how to become better. Not only tattoos, but also change your old way of thinking. If a person's mindset is toxic, then even if they dress conservatively or don't have tattoos, problems will still occur. Tattoo removal always makes a person look more presentable

A tattoo is not a "red flag" because it is not indicative of anything (unless it's a swastika or bigoted imagery, of course). There are some men who don't like tattoos or would prefer that a woman doesn't have them, but that is a matter of preference. People change their mind and think differently about things. If you truly do regret your tattoo, by all means, get it removed, but don't do it because some hypothetical man somewhere in the future may not like it.

Tattoos are WAY more common and normal now. I have a lot. Just FYI when you stir up all the ink it can have serious health ramifications, I have heard of a few people who got super sick from removal. I don't think they ever get truly removed, plus its costly and painful. All of us have scars, life is hard. All of us are going to have personal, emotional baggage to some degree. Its OK. If you are willing to accept a husband with flaws, then its ok for you to not be perfect in whatever capacity that means, whether its health issues, etc. I have lots of tattoos FYI and I don't love them anymore, but they have not stopped me in any way achieving my goals in my life or getting a wonderful, amazing husband who treats me like a princess.
