I'm 23 i actually did this for the first time this week . Walked around got a girls number and literally just told her i was sight seeing , went on a date the next day . So yeah you can definitely get by doing that if you aren't creepy or weird about it. And i can't stress this one enough, GO TO COFFEE SHOPS NEAR THE UNI

It also depends on how out of the way this campus is. If it's in the middle of a city and gets a ton of unrelated pedestrian traffic, that's one thing. If it's self contained and everyone there is a student, you're weird.

You gotta be careful doing that especially if you don't go to that college specifically because campuses have watch patrol made up of students and paid security. Last thing you want is to be scoped out as a creep on campus. Lots of campuses are vigilant nowadays given past issues with psychos over the years. If it weren't for that I'd say go do it.

I'd say it depends on the campus.

For example, I live in a city with a uni smack dab in the center of the city. So basically, if you want to go from one side of town to the other, you have almost no choice but to cross through the campus. Pretty normal to see people of all shapes going through, as well as students. And the boundaries of said campus are a bit fluid since there's both student housing on campus and off campus. Quintessential college town uni.

But say the campus is more of a commuter school, or is off in the middle of nowhere, then it's odd at best to be there. You'll probably get recognized for being there because it's a college more so then the example I first gave.

Basically it would come down to plausible deniability. What's the likelihood you're there for reasons unrelated to approaching women. And how often and how many women you're approaching.

As a tip, you could start visiting the library. A lot of unis allow you to walk around the library without an ID or anything, and read to your heart's content. Might actually catch some ladies taking a break from studying and eager to strike up an interesting conversation there.

Do you play video games??? are there any video game related clubs at this school??? At the college I went to you didn't actually have to be attending the college to go to game/board game events so if you find a club thats doing that you can ask some girls "hey do you know where xyz club is at???" as an intro and maybe even check out those clubs to make your case even more legit.

Depends. When I went to uni and was a student I never felt off by someone who hung out with our group and was not going to the same uni. Never questioned it even. Not sure about girls though.

But to make it less weird you could:

Our Uni had a canteen which had better prices for students but also offered meals for outsiders. Prices were still very much affordable and a lot of people went there for a lunch. Not sure about other Unis but hanging there and speaking to people in queue or sitting next to them and making some interaction would be complately normal and never looked upon.
Our Uni also had all the lectures publicly accessible so anyone could come to class and be there / listen. Even outsiders. Thinking behing that was that knowledge should be free and publicly accessible for anyone willing to learn. But this is Europe so it might differ if you are from states. After the last incident with shooter in Prague all Uni's tightens security so I bet this is not available anymore.
There were always tons of people hanging around parks and coffee shops around Uni. Timetables when studying on Uni tends to have a big gaps so there was often 1 - 2 hours of free time between lectures. Meeting people there would be also completely normal.

Those are just from top of my head but students in general tend to be rather positive and easygoing with outsiders anyway so just give it a shot.

Do it! One year I went tailgating alone a few times and had groups of girls talk to me, one time they even gave me an extra ticket
