Out of the last 4 years I've been unemployed for 2. Hasn't hurt me. Just means more free time to date

EDIT - although no job might not be as bad as a bad job lol like being unemployed after a good job is okay, currently working a bad job is not as okay.

Pretty much nothing, unless you plan on marrying any time soon, which would be dumb since you are only 19 years old. Job matters more when you are planning on building a future together and honestly, you shouldn’t really be looking for that until you are in your 30s at the very least, and even then that might be too soon cuz a man’s peak of attractiveness is around 35-38 approx. To get hookups, friends with benefits and short term girlfriends, you don’t need to worry about jobs.

It helps but mainly it's so you can afford to go on dates and it does help with social status. It could also be used as a conversation topic and may reveal some traits about yourself to the girl.

In general it's not that important, You can still get dates and girls while unemployed.

Status is more important than a dollar amount in your bank account. You could be a political activist making 15 bucks an hour and that would be more attractive than being a plumber making 50 dollars an hour.

It helps to have an attractive job but if you genuinely like the work or need the money then dont do something you hate just to get a few more brownie points with women

Edit : after looking through more comments employment status is the easiest thing to convince and salesman your way through. Theres a reason there are jokes about people calling themselves underwater ceramic technicians instead of dishwashers

Any occupation that puts you in the right location is okay. If you work for an Oil & Gas company that puts you in the middle of nowhere, your game is going to suffer.

Two answers here.

Your job doesn't matter at all in your ability to pick up women at this stage. Assuming you're not trying to marry these women. At your age it's more about vibe and energy and interests. You want to optimize those.

Your job should be an absolute priority at 19 though. For yourself and your future. By that I mean figuring out what you want to do in life. Right now you are transitioning into a new job, and yes you need an income, but I cannot stress enough the importance of taking the time to explore, carefully look into the various industries and see what you connect with, what you have a knack for, what you can make good money in, what you can see yourself doing long term and how you can get a foot in the door.

You can't just work a job and pass the time, you need to be engaged. That's one lesson I learned that I want to pass on. Be intentional about your professional future, gearing yourself toward something meaningful. The earlier you start the better you get, the quicker you figure out what to eliminate and what to commit to, and by the time you're older you will be a force in whatever industry you want. This will give you fulfillment, money and more women than you have time to entertain. Also find a mentor in that industry. Older folks love taking promising kids under their wing.
