We don't talk enough about the radicalization of young women

Hard to talk about something when the ones doing the radicalizing can't ever consider the fact they are wrong about anything ever. They are self identified leftists, therefore they are morally and ethnically correct and even attempting to challenge their particular stances on certain things universally shot down as you being the enemy - a chud, a rightoid, a nazi, an incel.

I'm not an academic. Far, FAR from it. But to me the issues here, with Gen Z in particular, are so fucking obvious:

Gen Z is the first generation to grow up entirely on the internet. Millennials grew up WITH the internet, not on it. Past generations had a more healthy (and I'm not saying they were immune to BS, but they weren't unnundated like Gen Z was) and relatively hands-off relationship with media. Gen X, Millennials - they had a natural discernment with media because not everything was at their fingertips at all times.

Millennials were the last channel surfers. The last walkman users. The last dial up users. The last landline users. The last cable users. I could go on and on.

Millennials were exposed to a wider set of news, films, shows, music, etc. The influencer culture didn't become the massive force it is now until Gen Z.

What has popular and mainstream "political" discourse been for over a decade now? Shallow feminist branded idpol. Who has routinely been cast as the universal villain from every facet of shallow feminist idpol? Men.

Just men. Not just white men. Men in general. White men are the easiest target, sure, but black and brown men of various cultures and ethnicities have also been swept up in this.

Gen Z grew up on flashy, overly edited, hate-speech-as-progressive-thought content. Mainstream libleft content was all about creating, fostering, and hammering home the oppressor/oppressed dynamic between women, non-cis individuals and men.

How many content creators across all major platforms post casual male hatred? How many anti-male hashtags have there been? How many ways have the online left told men and boys that they are basically original sin incarnate, broken humans by virtue of birth?

How much data that clearly shows how boys and men struggle in various ways gets ignored, laughed at, or waved away?

How much clear hypocrisy has there been when libfems claim to care about men and tell men to be more emotional and vulnerable only to tell them to shut up instantly as soon as men say something that isn't lock-step on the narrative libfems push?

Gen Z men had the internet on a little rectangle in their hands growing up hearing how much they are awful, violent, worthless, hateful people.

Gen Z women had the internet on a little rectangle in their hands growing up hearing how they are perpetual victims of men and are in constant danger and oppressed in every way by a violent patriarchy.

#killallmen, #yesallmen, #maletears, #ichoosethebear, mansplaining, manspreading, "every interest you have as a man is sexist," patriarchy patriarchy patriarchy, incel, male privilege, toxic masculinity...

Edit: And the worst part is, you can explain all this to them and more, you can be as fair, even-keeled, balanced, and reasonable as possible. It won't matter. Because you are challenging the programming. You are daring to, in any way, question and criticize libfem rhetoric and messaging; therefor you are a villain by default. They won't hear you. They CAN'T hear you. Their ideological brainwashing won't allow them to. The same people that endlessly preach empathy and giving people a voice are the quickest to take voices away if they feel those voices make them confront their worldview. As SOON as anything even slightly bristles against their programming, they shut it out, shut it down, and attack.

Suddenly all the issues they discuss that have nuanced and myriad systemic roots disappear when it comes to men. Suddenly intersectionality doesn't matter. Suddenly idpol can't be applied in the empathetic for men....because men. Somehow men are immune to systemic issues. And even when some deign to admit men do suffer from systemic issues...it still doesn't matter. Cuz men. Cuz patriarchy. Therefor men's fault.

Sadly, the way the discourse is going post-election, this shift in the right for young men will only get worse. And libfem leftists STILL won't reckon with their responsibility in this.

I'm not saying hateful nazis need "sympathy" nor am I trying to remove accountability from the most hateful and vocal Gen Z neo-nazi's and trumpoids...but you can't cast an entire demographic as the monster for years and years and then surprise pikachu face when those monsters turn out to be real.

I don't think we djscuss it much because it's entirely out of our control. Yes, women blame us for their attitudes and actions, but they're radicals who are going to blame us anyway. All we can do is focus on men and act righteously.

Agreed. During the election I was googling the January 6th events and they talked about Trump's speech and how a lot of the language 'was borrowed from combat or war'. I think peacefully was mentioned once. My tiktok's algorithm lends fowards feminism and lots of radfem stuff shows up to. I see a lot of similar language used in these tiktoks (billie eilish: 'war on women'), along with pictures of women in protest and looking powerful with dramatic music playing. I used to save these tiktoks and relate to them. Now I see that they are whipping people up into a frenzy and I don't think they are good for us. You really come away feeling strong emotions - I think human's brains are primed for radicalisation and it scares me. Feminism really needs a strong branch that is focused on de-escalating, proper empathy and decreasing division. It does come from a place of fear about not having control of their bodies, but I agree the current approach of radicalisation doesn't help.

I've already seen à few women in the middle of trump derangement syndrome saying something along the line of "we lost our reproductive rights. We should make men loose theirs and see how they like that"

And all I could think reading it was "girl, what are you talking about ? Which reproductive rights do men have ? How disconnected from reality do you have to be ?"

But lots of women did vote for Trump so I think part of it is that they’re somewhat over the wokeshit, but then it could be the economy. I think Gen Z girls are more about having fun and enjoying life and aren’t as concerned with activism. But I fear they just like the tradcon view of masculinity more, which is bad

no,i think they should double down on them shaming tactics and hysterics, have more relationships only with the men who they deem are supposedly "good", and even go for that sex abstinence they were raving on and on when Roe vs Wade happened.

on a slightly less cynical note, I don't know what those women in power would do in retaliation to men, and to most men who arent even on their radar when it comes to this gender war bullshit. aside from the typical shaming and bias against hiring men, I would assume they will get more money for feminist stuff, whatever they want to make as feminist agenda, and from then on, probably more income inequality, but maybe I'm reaching with that last one.

Inspite of what men's spaces and feminists say, I do think women are getting depressed and lonely as well. They have their own posturing spaces like pink pill/FDS, wgtow, 4b and even femcels.

I think these groups are just going to grow from now on.

Manosphere has demonized women the same way feminism demonized men and I do think it's going to have some consequences, especially on young girls.

What would be helpful is to appreciate what women do and have historically done for men. You need to counteract the shaming and demonization of women by the manosphere by giving them a positivity so that they don't lose hope in men.

Censorship might work for radical cases but it's not a good solution.

I don't endorse this kind of arguments, even if it might be coming from a place of concern, it can come of as a threat to some people besides from a male advocacy perspective our focus of concern about radicalization of women with misandry should be men, not the (non-predictable) consequences for women.

Yep. That's the secondary reason I was especially put off by the repealing of Roe v Wade. I essentially exacerbates the "India" effect. Where because of major women's rights issues, and people's response to them, extremes in the reverse become tolerated.

We need to talk about how social media addiction harms adolescent women as much as we talk about how porn addiction harms young men. I’ve seen so many TikTok’s of women crying into their camera and saying/doing insane shit all for validation. It’s been proven that social media is incredibly damaging to your mental health so I can’t say im surprised by this behavior. Ik this is anecdotal, but my male friends either rarely post on social media anymore or deleted them entirely; the same cannot be said about my female friends.
