I got banned from r/fantasy of all subs because I called out the casual misandry on that sub.

No asserting male writers are all perverted poo poo heads is sexist. Female writers can and do include gratuitous sex and weirdness in their works...that's not something only men do.

Are there any men-only subreddits? I know of a ton of women-only subreddits (private and public), but I'm not aware of anywhere on reddit that is men only.

Edit: This is not a rhetorical question. This is the second or third time I've asked this, on various subs, and I never hear of any.

Agree, and support that idea however to be truly equal women must create those spaces themselves which includes erecting the buildings themselves.

Reading so much about how they crave a commune, island or cities that are women only. They should have to build them.

There may be a case for separate but equal, but that’s not what we are seeing. We are seeing spaces and venues that discriminate against men, limiting men’s opportunities.

Women only commuter cars means men can’t board the train despite there being available seats. A gym having women only hours from 6:30-8:00 means that men who can only workout before work, now can’t. The Girl Scouts doesn’t allow boys, but the Boy Scouts allowing girls has meant decreased opportunities for boys.

Yep can’t even have the Boy Scouts anymore .. renamed Scouts and girls let in . Next stop badges easier and more effeminate activities. Interestingly Girl Scouts are in financial trouble now.

The change was made in an effort to solve their dwindling membership probs made worse my Mormons making their own scouts but I don’t care it should have never be done.

I'm a woman who believes that men should have spaces that are exclusively for men. I see women only spaces and places all the time. I've never understood why there's so much pushback from women when this subject is brought up. Why would anyone want to be somewhere that they're not wanted?? It annoys me. 😒

Know who I blame here? It's in your second paragraph. Last sentence.

There's a million places where I believe modern (radical) feminism has hurt society and men. However, men need to be able to utter the shortest sentence in the English language:

"No."

No court forced BSA to integrate. There were separate institutions. But the Girl Scouts organization wasn't half as good. So instead of fixing their own organization, they complained to be let into the BSA. I remember the original article and petition. There was nothing about what she would contribute to the organization or how she'd help build the legacy. It was plain and simple. "This can give me power and I want it."

What did the men do? They bent the knee. To my knowledge, boys can't be Girl Scouts, so girls get their own safe spaces. But the men in charge couldn't say, "Our boys need their safe spaces, too. No." They GAVE our space away.

If you want your own spaces, it's going to come at a cost. You're going to have to utilize that spine and stop caring about whining, stamping of little feet, or S.I.G.N. language from them. Until we can utter a one-syllable, two-letter sentence, there will be no places for men and boys.

Idk if it happened in other countries as well but here in India few years ago there was this provision of special women-only movie screenings in multiple cinemas of India. Any film, any genre, any age rating - only for women. Not sure if it’s still going on but won’t be surprised if it is, when special women-only seats are marked in every metro train coach IN ADDITION TO a women-only coach.

I already have created male spaces. I don't need the society permission, women permission and we certainly don't need some stinky feminists breathing down our necks their breaths stink😂. We don't need to ask just say no. That's a problem. We try to make everything inclusive when somethings should be strictly exclusive. im not really a huge fan of women only spaces, or men only spaces.

gender segregation is largely abhorrent.

it isnt exactly tho that i think there ought be literally no such spaces, it is that they ought be pretty few and far between.

moreover, the rationale that is given, safety, is so gross its beyond the pale. such lies and vilifies men.

Honestly, do men even want men's only spaces? No one is stopping them from being created and it's still hard to find any. Almost every time I go out to any event it's like 70%-90% men anyway. Seems like every space is a predominantly men's space. Sometimes there are no women at all at partnered activities like dancing. I'd love to know why this is. I assume men are just going to events more often than women.

Men used to have gentlemens clubs. They were like a country club but only for men. The YMCA and YWCA used to be separated, as well as the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.

Men's and women's locker rooms and restrooms should definitely be separated as well as physical sports.

Our society did very well with these, ensuring that the segregation was equal in quality. Unfortunately, males want to pretend they are females and females want to pretend they are males.

At some point, there won't be gendered spaces at all, just one big locker room and restroom that will be "gender inclusive". With adult sized diaper changing stations for those weirdos who want to pretend that they are 50 year old babies and a fire hydrant for those that identify as animals.

dude..the whole fucking WORLD is a sausage factory already..EVERYTHING was a mens only space until a few decades ago. I agree, you need your own spaces, but the fact you think you don't have any is bizarre. There are many many organizations that are men only. Catholic Priests for one, most religions don't permit female leaders. Then there are the many many mens clubs that still exist solely for men. Then there is the Masons etc..women just want the SAME RIGHTS men have always enjoyed..go ahead and join one of the many men only orgs..

males can be much more violent than females over all. And are much more deadly when they are violent. Safe spaces for women are inherently that much more valuable to keep around as a result. Until the majority of murders are done by women against men. It's much harder to justify. Though having male only businesses isn't a thing I think is bad if they can financially support themselves. I just think there's actually a safety reason behind a woman only space.

worth mentioning the factor that many spaces were already men's only spaces — either because they said that or they don't 'say' it but act like it.

we don't live in a vacuum. context matters when discussing these things, not that it's not worth discussing the question "can/should/how could there be explicitly men's only spaces?"

you might already acknowledge that to yourself, but i don't assume that in this particular subreddit. might be worth mentioning in half a sentence so people can acknowledge the context in which you raise the point.
