How important is age?

Game overcomes a lot of things. Age happens to be one of them.

Btw, before people start to think I'm talking mysticism, when I say, "Game" I don't mean Mystery Method or any other shallow, mainstream representation of Game, I mean having above average social skills.

You know, like that one person you know who can just convince anyone of anything, or that one person who can sell stripes to a zebra.

And if you have that level of social skills, you're much more likely to have the ability to effectively handle the objection of the age gap either proactively or reactively.

When I was in my early 20s, I was sleeping with women who had with a 2-4 year age gap. When I was in my late 20s, I was sleeping with women who had a 10+ year age gap.

I have a friend who also developed his game around the same time as me, he had a girlfriend in his early 20s and they had a 2 year age gap. Now, in his early 30s, since he only met his new girlfriend last year, they have a 13 year age gap.

Our age gaps keep growing because even though we're getting older, we never stopped getting girls from the same age range.

You being close to 40 are at an even bigger advantage because usually for people higher up in age, bigger gaps are more acceptable, so you'll face far less objections than my friend did and certainly far less than I did, unless you're gonna go for women in their 20s, which might mean you'd need even more game than me and my friend who have been doing this since the 2010s.

There are advantages and disadvantages.

The main problem is other people perception. They are very judgmental. So if u are 40 and u go on a date with 20 something u will get some looks.

Same in the club or anywhere u approach in that age range. People just look at you.

So often u have to change venues and don’t stick in single place too long, if that makes u uncomfortable.

The good thing is that, if u dress well, and can carry yourself properly. No one will say anything to your face.

The advantages, obviously include that u have more money so u have your own place, car, etc makes logistics and dating much easier.

If u don’t have that and live with your mom at 40. Then it won’t work.

If u have your life in check and also if u have a six pack. Then u are the catch.

Most attention u will get from the single moms or women over 30. At least on dating apps. This is due to age range settings. If u are into younger ones. Then dating apps won’t work.

Cold approaching, and also warm approaching will work better.

As for their reactions. They vary. Some will give u disgusted face, like u are freak of approaching 20 years younger. It happened to me couple of times when I started. But in general is rare.

The more u approach the better u become of noticing subtle signals so u can avoid these types of situations.

I guess if you're healthy and in good shape then it's different then if you're unhealthy and obese.

Some 40 year olds look 30, some look 50.

Age is irrelevant if you own it. At 40+, focus on mature venues: wine tastings, networking events, hobby groups. Women your age (or 30s) care more about confidence/stability than club game. FYI, my uncle met his wife at 45 via salsa classes, and if he can do it, you can too.

It depends on the context, the woman, the setting. Some women prefer to date older guys, and some find it gross. Some will judge large age gaps and some won't.

You'll always have the most success around women your age. That goes for men at any age. Women typically prefer men around their age.

Lifestyle and life situations differ with age. Not that many go to nightclubs anymore at your age, so you probably want to find some other ways to meet women. Find venues and settings where there's a higher percentage of single women around your age. That would be the easiest path to success.

Do your own thing. I was also married for several years and am single again. But I have discovered that I am just not into traditionally college aged women anymore. The brain is not even fully formed until the mid 20s and most I've talked to recently have been really immature. I've been more drawn to at least later 20s and find they're usually more settled, comfortable in their skin and are focused on career and being an adult vs. partying, Instagram and so forth.

Age is an advantage. I'm 36, been 'in the game' so to speak since my 20s and as I've gotten older I've only dated hotter girls and become more skilled at this.

I still date women in their 20s and most have no problem with my age. I'm pulling girls that are of a hotness level I never could when I was in my 20s.

Every now and then you run into a younger woman who takes issue with it and doesn't want to date you solely because of your age. It's really just a personal preference thing tbh. Some girls also prefer guys who are ripped, guys who are taller, guys who are of a certain ethnicity, etc. and some are open to dating older guys while others are not. It really just boils down to personal preference.

I will say though, you'll be surprised at how many younger women take no issue with how old you are at all. They care most about your confidence, how you carry yourself, your vibe, and the other things that trigger attraction and move the interaction forward.

The main thing as an older guy to remember is don't try to portray yourself as someone you're not. The biggest mistake older guys make when they try to date younger girls is they think they need to act like a younger person. That's so fucking gross, don't do that.

Girls of all ages will respect you when you act like who you are. Don't try to hide the fact that you're older. It's an advantage when you use it properly. Own it. Feature it even.

Last thing: girls will shit test you on your age. Which is a good thing. In fact that's the only shit test I really get nowadays. I was talking to a college girl at a bar not too long ago, and when I told her my age she gasped and went, "You're an OLD MAN!" to which I just threw my head back and laughed very loudly.

The next thing out of her mouth? "You know, people tell me I'm really mature for my age..."

So moral of the story is don't be afraid of the age thing, own it, and be prepared to pass the shit tests if you're going for younger women because they will do it.

It does have some relavance, being in your 40s will make it a tad more difficult, mostly because you wont have enough leads around your age range. I would say approach women so as long you are comfortable.

Clubs have their own cultures, you have to find a club that have women around your age. Going to a club thats in a college town wont be very useful for you. See my post on nightclubs to get started with that.

Just start with the core three. Approaching, flirting and escalation. With these core skills you will be able to succeed. I have posts on all three.

Age is a number. There isn’t a rule about that.

Been there, still doing that at nearly 50, dating in the range of 25-50yo.

Take your time to get back on your feet.

You’ll fail the first times, until you’ll feel comfortable again.

39 with a 24 year old GF. Older dudes can be low-key major catches, it just isn’t readily obvious to most girls. I’m in good shape, good job, good living situation and decent car. I have disposable income for dinner, and fun dates. I have my own hobbies and friends so I’m not constantly up her ass, and I’m happy to be on my own. I don’t think she could ever go back to dating dudes her own age, she’s basically said as much.

I'm 40m and single. I'm in shape and I think I look 30ish. I don't want to date 20 yr olds. I would like to date 27-35 ish. I still think I'm going to have to do more approaches. Apps get harder when you hit 40 and see competitive to begin with.

If you learn the right mindsets and fundamentals age won’t matter. This is because the nature of learning game is learning to handle social pressure. It doesn’t matter if you are older and age is a thing, or younger and looks and inexperience is a thing.

You’re going to deal with social pressure. Game is about developing social skills, mindsets, and confidence to handle any situation that will be thrown at you.

Once you realize this, you will embrace the awkwardness. Seek it out so you can improve. It’s just social skills.

Of course, if you don’t try to improve you will be in your head and have limiting beliefs. You may be there now. But you have a choice to do something about it.

age must be important. think about why we;re attracted to the oposite sex in the 1st place. lt;s for reproduction. by the time we;re 25, our sperm quality already begins to drop, so by the time we;re around 40, we;re pretty much cooked. this is why most females are not attracted to bald guys. lt's not just because it looks bad, but is an indicator of old age. look at all the guys out there getting hair transplants. no one wants to look old. and if you watch videos of pick up artists, you;ll notice alot of them lying about their age. even guys in their late 20s are pretending to be in their early 20s to give them an edge. lf age wasn't an issue these pua wouldn't have to lie about it

also, if you find females asking, how old you are often, then it just means they think you;re too old. at least that;s my experience
