This is pretty much par for the course, unfortunately.

He filed for divorce after she was arrested, and she's already pled guilty to the offense. However, in her divorce pleadings, she accused him of cruelty and gross neglect, which I'm venturing to guess is intended to mar his reputation, thus giving her hope of having some degree of custody or visitation upon resolution of her legal issues.

Considering she's required to register as a sex offender, I don't see how this does anything that's actually helpful for the kids, but there's little to suggest this was an especially high priority in her mind.

Like, just imagine for a moment if a 43 yr old man facing prison time for raping a 17 yr old girl said, 'i shouldnt go to prison because the only reason i did it was because my wife abused me by not having sex with me'.

Imagine the collective shock at someone having the audacity to use that as a defense.... if it were a man.

Another thing that I noticed that was mentioned was that the student was "at-risk".

This is one thing I've observed when comparing male and female sexual predators is that for males the prime motivation seem to be the sex, while for females it seems to be more about the control rather than the sex, since it's way easier for a women to acquire sex and their libido is way lower than ours.

This is probably why you'll see female predators mainly target underaged boys, boys at juvenile detention centres, mentally and/or physically disabled boys and men, intoxicated and incapacitated boys and men etc.

Edit: It does looks like she blamed it on not being "sexually satisfied" with her husband, but I still believe it's more about control.

Their changed the title to what it would be if it was a man, hopefully she has a horrible time in prison is abandoned by family and friends while also being registered as a sex offender and having no right to privacy in her new destroyed life. I don’t know how but somehow journalistic independence and integrity needs to be held some standards of accountability.
