I was listening to rap, specifically Life Goes On by Tupac, which is a song about grief and getting over loss.

I was driving this girl back to her apartment and im playing it in the car when about midway through she changes it. I put it back on and thats when she starts up. She had my phone and started reading off specific lyrics, calling them misogynistic, racist, and violent, and implying things about me for listening to it.

I told her the song wasnt about her, and that i always think about my brother whenever I listen to it, cause its literally about life going on after dealing with tragedy.

She then said i shouldnt 'emotionally bond' with 'misogynistic music' and that there is 'healthier music' to listen to. It really got under my skin.

I made better financial choices. I invested in an engineering degree. Now that I reap the benefits of that, it somehow means I should pay more than 50% of the bills. Even if I would accept, I wouldn't be allowed to ask the other person to do more than 50% of the housework in return.

All my female friends (some are wives of my male friends) constantly make fun of their husbands with phrases like “ i’ll kick you ass if you don’t take out trash today”, “you’re gonne sleep on the couch if you talk more” in a funny way of course. Pissed out me who doesn’t want this toxic behaviour to get into my wife’s head jokingly reversed it saying now you did not pick up the trash or something so your husband’s gonna kick your ass and BOOM. The whole room got silent and all of them started lecturing me how toxic and misogynistic i was 🤷🏻‍♂️

So two incidents come to mind -

I once got called a misogynist because I asked why women get free entry at clubs while men have to pay. I said, "Isn't equality supposed to go both ways?" That’s literally all I said. Within seconds, one woman snapped back, "Wow, you must really hate women."

Another time, I watched a YouTube Short of a women's football match where two female players got into a heated argument and even a bit of a physical altercation. I left a comment saying, Women are more emotional than men 😂, which just felt like an observation - especially in the context of the video. Within minutes, I had three or four people replying, calling me a misogynist. They didn't even see my smiley.

I said that men have had it bad throughout medieval times as well as women. This woman literally thought that during medieval Europe all men had it made and could do whatever they want and women were treated like housemaid/sex slaves that weren't allowed to leave the house/castle by everyone. Including royalty and serfs.

She rage-quit the discussion after I started giving actual details about how she was wrong with of course dismissing me as a misogynist and said I was mansplaining history with a hint that it was revisionist as I was explaining it to excuse men's behavior.

Not me, but years back I was out at lunch with a small group of friends, one of whom was an over-the-top feminist, and she got mad at a couple guys next to us and called them misogynistic…for talking about football. Their (I assume) girlfriends were talking about makeup or something, and she thought it was misogynistic that they were talking about “masculine” things together instead of engaging in conversation with their girlfriends.

Having any form of standards. While they had like a list of 30 things. But looked like Shreks could not even love.

I never had isues with relationships but you have those moments that some girls wanna try and set you up with there frend or what ever. But you very very quickly find out why no one would even spite in there direction.

Below average. Looks. Acting she is a 10 and has a Landry list of demands what she requires to be taken seriously. And after 3de of her 30 things on her list your already like what the hell.

But then you start to say your desires whats mostlyjust wanting the same moralsand values i have to reflect also in my partner. They call you sexist and misogynistic.

People like that has made me care much much less about women and there issues. Mostly cause its obviously that many women take much more then they give. So honestly it makes them deserving of less. And I don't care if somone find that sexist cause I would say the same about a guy of you always take take take. And never give you also deserve less. But there a lot more selfish women then selfish men cause there is a pressure for men to investment first and be a gentleman and all that. But there is never a push for women to be a lady. So give less deserving of less.

Why I'm all for equality and giving people what the give and nothing more. So the selfish people getting nothing.

And selfless people get much more quality relationships and outcomes.
