Look, young dudes out there. Take it from a graybeard. Holding together a toxic relationship for the sake of the kids just denies your kids a happy mom and dad, instead they grow up in a war zone and carry their PTSD into their future relationships. End the cycle.

It's not really for the kids, it's for you, because you don't want to admit you failed. Well guess what! Pretending everything is okay and that you're not some kind of loser just makes you a loser, and a coward. Marriages fail, people change, expectations are poorly communicated, the only way you can fail when things go wrong is brush it under the rug.

Happy households are real. They exist. You deserve one. Your kids deserve one. Your spouse deserves one. Whether it's communicating, counseling, mediation or divorce you MUST do the hard work if you want to build one. Things won't get better on their own. Stop pretending your life isn't broken, pick up the tools and get to work!

NOW DAMMIT!
