Hey everyone,

I’m 20 (almost 21), and I grew up extremely poor. Because of that, I had to work since I was a teenager. After age 15, I basically stopped having any kind of social life—if I ever had one at all.

I never went to college, but I’ve worked hard and now I have a decent job plus a side hustle that’s earning me close to six figures. Financially, I’m in a good place. I help my family, we’re all doing well, and I’ve made solid connections. I’ve got different groups of friends—some I train jiu-jitsu with, others I talk business and investing with (I’m actually planning to quit my job soon and go full-time on my business).

The thing is, all of them are much older than me. I don’t think I’ve ever had a real friendship with someone less than five years older—and that’s on the younger side. Because of everything I’ve been through, I feel like I just can’t relate to people my own age. I’ve never been to a bar, never really gone partying, and honestly, I live like someone in their 40s. I’ve been living alone for a few months now, hours away from any family or childhood friends.

So here’s my question: What kinds of activities or environments do you recommend for someone like me to meet people my age and start having more age-appropriate experiences—like going out, enjoying parties, and just having fun while I still can?
