The correct attitude here is "who cares". If you let every little thing like this get to you then this insecurity is gonna come out with women, especially the ones you mess with more than a few times and especially the ones you like. That sounds more like approval seeking on your part than a "joke." This energy from you, predictably, led to a minor shit test on her part. Are you the cool, grounded guy she hopes you are, or are you looking for a random woman you just met or validation and affirmation?

While she was giving me her number, she goes, “could’ve gone worse, you could’ve been a weirdo.”

These kinds of shit tests should roll of your back. Next time ask yourself why a fleeting comment in what you yourself claim was an otherwise promising interaction would throw you so far off your center. Anyway, sometimes it's as simple as giving her a smirk. Or replying by reframing what she said in your favor:

"lol no, I am. here's to hoping you're a bit weird too" etc.

In this case, I'm misinterpreting weird in my mind as a positive. And actually, in my world, being a bit weird and quirky describes me, and is a requirement out of any woman I would date seriously too. Next time, again, ask yourself what you value and what you expect out of the women in your life. This is how you transition from just saying lines to actually being That Guy and responding accordingly.

Also I asked her what her schedule was looking like next week and she just said “ngl, it’s looking really busy” this an L man 😔 I also ended up saying “damn that’s crazy”

When exactly did you ask this? Right after you failed the shit test? If so, her reaction is totally unsurprising. NEVER ESCALATE on shit tests. The rule is to simply just pass it, and once the rapport is brought back around, then you escalate. Given the flat note you played at the end, you were better off wrapping up the interaction, rather than trying to hash out everything logistically right then and there. You dudes need to understand that logistics are emotional first for women. She has to be in the right emotional headspace first. If she's not, don't do it.

I'm pretty vigilant of red flags and nothing that she said triggered bad vibes from either line or even the way you described her facial expressions. She was being both funny and honest with you. If you can't work out a date with her after multiple attempts, then definitely move on. But there's nothing wrong with her letting you know she'll be busy. People don't drop everything they had planned just to go on a date with a stranger.
