I usually point out that men are also the majority of the homeless, imprisoned, suicides, garbage collectors, sewage workers, etc..

The most common response is somewhere on the lines of "but men made it that way", to which I point out that if the system was made by men, for men, at the expense of women, men would have no incentive to screw themselves over like that.

After that, they usually try to go back and forth for some time before giving up and calling me a misogynist. Every other time they'd just skip the run-around and either block me or stop responding.

Never once has a feminist ever truly acknowledged men as people and deserving of rights.

Women are the majority of the electorate. If most elected leaders are male it is only because women as a group choose to vote that way.

Women control the vast majority of consumer spending. If the majority of CEOs and corporate board members are male it is only because of the purchasing choices of female consumers, who are served that way.

Women have an absolute monopoly on reproduction. If the majority of inherited titles are assigned to males it is only because women (specifically Queens) choose to marry Kings and/or give birth to Princes. Any woman can become a Queen through marriage but the only way for a man to become a King is to be born to the Queen Mother.

If you want to say the patriarchy is a real thing, sure it is a thing. But it is extremely misleading to say the world is led by male patriarchs rather than by women who are powerful enough to control the selection of patriarchs in the first place.

It's because women prefer to delegate leadership duties and material productivity to men so men have to work and get status, those male leaders still work for women via laws, taxes, subsidies, benefits, female consumerism etc. Women are the sexual selectors, men are the competing employees, anyone who argues otherwise doesn't understand biology and history.

There are far more single moms than dads, children bond with and get taught by their mothers far more than their fathers, custody is very one sided in most countries, the rule of the father is more like the rule of the mother.

It's not an argument; it's a statement of fact. Yes, most world leaders are men. So are most great villains and nearly all great heroes- and that stands pretty much regardless of how you define villainy and heroism.

This is because men are the ones society (and biology, but the door is open to any woman who wants to do the same) expects to run insane risks on top of sacrificing their health and well-being for the good of others.

The powerful are, generally, men, yes. That doesn't mean that men are the powerful; it means that a handful of those who gamble with their lives for power, influence, and money will win. It's like saying that barbarism is beneficial to the average barbarian because the warlords live so high on the hog.

We arent all equal. Some men are better than most men and women at a few things. We see it everywhere in life.

The solution is not to hamstring society to create some fairytale.

Maybe you have picked up on it but the ideal societies are always some ancient ones where academia can claim there was perfect parity (countless papers claiming women hunted and fought wars just as much) or that they had endless amount of genders. What you see less of is people actually wanting to live in something like the Sentinel Islands.

...primaried and elected by women. Women have plenty of influence over power. That being said, most don't want a woman leading. Most men AND most women prefer a male boss, for example. This extends to politics.

Most world leaders and people in positions of power also have high levels of responsibility and stress. Leadership is often a burden, not a benefit. This is why many women choose against living a life of exclusive stringent careerism.

Even if most leaders are male, most males aren't leaders. Men who are outliers aren't a representative sample of men.

Also, "leader" males don't identify with or relate to non-leader males. The average male gets no benefit from the higher-ups. Leader males aren't tossing ladders down and helping up less fortunate men with a cheery smile and "I've got your back, bro!" If there's a "patriarchy" most men aren't patriarchs.

Also, as shown by women's demonstrated preferences in both real-world dating and entertainment, the average opposite-sex-attracted woman is incentivizing and intensifying competition between males and picking the winners/patriarchs. So to the extent there is a "patriarchy," women are complicit in it.

Feminists have trained women to point at men and blame them for EVERYTHING in human society, I bring in biology. Almost every gender role or inequality feminists have pointed to exist in other species as well.

1)Men didn’t go and design the sperm/egg system, gender roles, and patriarchy in 8 zillion other species. Men didn’t design hypergamy.

2) In nearly every species, males take the L in terms of mortality due to severe competition. Women don’t. If some men being in charge is a privilege, so is this. It’s a pretty privilege that helps all women. No human man decided that male lions should fight and kill each other to be the only breeding male of a larger pride of lionesses.

3) In species where women get to choose mates AND are the matriarchs or larger or lead the group….men aren’t “equal”. Males still die more or are cast out.

4) And that’s exactly how feminism works - it stems from a lack of inter-gender competition rather than as a response to a lack of rights. It’s a female cooperative that forms because men have to be the ones that face sexual competition. Almost nowhere is there widespread, longterm male cooperation to host a male gender takeover of society and specifically help men. If you think women in Afghanistan have it bad, you should check on the men.

It use to be a rule now, in the west anyway, its just remnants of the past.

Women can inherit, build, everything a man was once exclusive to.

Its not going to flip or balance out ever, but it will and is, normal for everyone that both men and women are in the roles you mentioned.

And who inherits what was once exclusive to men, is upto them. Its still theirs.

Dictators gonna dictate, male, female, doesn’t matter. If they’re making any point it’s about free democracies where the law is supposed to treat us all equally. And I do believe in those countries, most eligible voters are women. They have an absolute entitlement to their choice, even if it happened to be 100% men as elected officials.

The great Ruth Bader Ginsburg made that point when she was asked “How many women is enough” judges on the US Supreme Court. She said “All of them.” It’s pretty obvious that she didn’t mean men are unfit to judge and they should all be replaced by women, but that in a true meritocracy, occasionally the nine most qualified people for the job would be by pure coincidence all women. The same logic applies: occasionally a meritocracy would produce 9 male justices. Occasionally, an electorate of mostly women will choose mostly male candidates. The gender ratio, using Ginsburg’s own logic, isn’t really the problem.

A few things here.

First, the elite are a tiny group. Most men and women aren't part of that club, so saying "men benefit from the system" is not true.

Second, we've had plenty of women in positions of power in recent history, and they've shown they're just as capable of warmongering and making ruthless decisions as men.

I do think we live in a patriarchy, but not in the way feminists usually describe it. Men don't give birth, so we're generally pushed towards work, provision, protection and enforcement. At the end of the day, when something gets violent or dangerous, society relies heavily on men to deal with it.

To me, that's not institutional sexism. It's mostly a result of biology.

Feminists love throwing around words like "patriarchy" and "systemic" as if somehow proves what they are talking about. Ask them to name a single legal disadvantage women face in the modern West. Beyond abortion laws in some states in America, most will struggle to come up with one. Men and women are equal under the law. If anything, with DEI policies now in place, the only openly institutional discrimination you'll find is directed at the white male population.

Who cares? That doesn't mean men are privileged or that women's interests aren't represented. It doesn't matter what biological type of person has power, what matters who who power is wielded for. Ideology is what counts, and there are far, far, far more feminists in power (yes, even male ones) than MRAs. Actually, I don't know of any MRAs who are world leaders.

Just because it's a man in power doesn't mean he's going to use that power to benefit other men. 99 times out of 100, he's not. He's going to try to feel better about himself by promoting women's interests. He might go about it differently depending on whether he's a feminist or a traditionalist conservative. Men don't have an in-group bias the way women do. A lot of women think "if I were in power, I'd use it to help other women," and they seem to assume men feel the same way about other men, so of course if it's men who are in positions of power then they must be using it to advantage men more broadly. But that isn't how men think about other men, this is just projection.

It's a fallacy to assume that the men at the top are just there to serve other men. For starters, this is a role that demands respect and charisma. These leaders get to those positions by competing against countless others for those positions, and they are ultimately assigned to those positions because people believe they will be best suited to serve those interests. It is a role of responsibility, which most women either do not compete for or want to compete for because they do not want to deal with the stress and exposure.

It is also a role of accountability, with these leaders generally representing the will of the people who lift them into those positions. Leaders who don't serve women's interests, do not really get all that far. Leaders who would be genuinely misogynistic would not make it very far, and that's with or without women being able to vote because men wouldn't want to support a man who is openly misogynic or even take the risk to support misogynistic men.

And the reality is that public interest is generally gynocentric. Women have far more control over public interest and public opinion than men do. You will see plenty of openly misandric politicians and leaders, and they are cheered for it. They get elected for it and often, even when they fail, they continue to fail upwards because that misandry serves a public bias.
