If the other person has a financial incentive, I wouldn't put much weight in their signs of interest. To show real interest, she'd need to do something extremely out of the way and not just give a "look".

I have a buddy who is neurodivergent. Once we were at a bank and after we left, he kept saying how the employee was flirting with him. I didn't have the heart to tell him what she did was just normal customer service.

If she was genuinely giving you "the look" and was interested, she'd make it super easy for you to talk to her. Perhaps she'd come around many times and give you an opportunity to chat with her.

You can try it, yeah. I would recommend not trapping her in that interaction, though. Leave her your number on the receipt (with a nice tip, of course). If you really want to do it verbally just don't make it a question and do it on your way out. Say your piece (ex: hey I really enjoyed this interaction, I left you my number, text me if you'd like to get together sometime) and then leave it at that. I think that's respectful.

Source: Been a waiter for 10+ years and my fellow waitresses get phone numbers on their receipts ALL THE TIME.

Just do it, but don’t ask for her number. Just approach her, have some small talks, then ask her out. You could do it in 1 day or within multiple days. I would suggest the latter so she would be safe and comfy with you too, knowing that you’re a regular customer. If she said no then you get your answer.

I’ve slept with baristas and servers before, just by doing cold approaches. Don’t overthink it by thinking “oh they’re nice to you because it’s their job.” Yes of course it’s their job. I often tell guys just because a girl smiles at you doesn’t mean they’re attracted to you, maybe they’re just being polite. But that doesn’t mean you can’t approach. These 2 aspects are not mutually exclusive.

Never worked out for me. I've dated several or seven just slept with them while working as a line cook. But I've never successfully gotten a date by asking a waiter or bartender out, although I've only tried once maybe twice

There's this acquaintance that likes to shit test me, I ignore her usually.

One time we were at a bar and everyone else was running late, she made a comment about how the waitress was showing interest on my order I should ask her out... I just said it's literally her job.

It doesn't work unless you have an incredible physique and then it shouldn't be your main place to meet women so it's a moot point still

Don’t do it. People who are working have to be nice. A lot of cute girls know they can get better tips by convincing guys they are into them. It’s a tale as old as time.
