I was number three or four for my ex. She was young and had previously only had ltrs. Since I broke up w her that number has gone up exponentially. I broke up w her due to reasons outside our relationship and had considered getting back w her, but as she has been happily riding the cc since then she is no longer ltr material.

Once a woman is outside of college and you don't know a lot about her past (you are not both in the town where you both grew up), then you will never know.

What they admit to are the ones that you will definitely hear of, so she will at least mention all her past boyfriends that she dated for a long enough length that her family and friends will know them and he will pop up in random stories from time to time. From there, they might add in a small number of random ones, primarily to make the n-count more believable.

The only thing you can do is put them in a "bin" roughly. You can tell based upon age, demeanor, and what she tells you whether she is "not a ho", "ho", or "OMG what a fucking ho".

If she is in her 30s, never married, seems to want to be in relationships really badly, mentions at least 10 past boyfriends, and you got her in the sack easy.....she's at least "ho".
