I feel like one of the biggest problems in Western society is how obsessed people are with sex.

I know a guy who said that Americans are obsessed with the "non-having" of sex.

Meaning that Americans are constantly talking about it, thinking about it, fantasizing about it, daydreaming about it, selling products based on it... but (many) Americans spend almost no time ever, in actual, enjoyable, relaxed lovemaking with someone we actually like. lol.

Welcome to RPW! A reactionary movement against feminism if a good way to describe RPW however we aren't a political group - just a community of women who have come to the realization that the way we have been operating in our relationships isn't working in terms of making us happy or empowered.

There are a lot of new girls here, so rather than taking what one may say as law, look for an EC or MOD flair and look to see how many points a comment has before you take it to heart. If you have any questions, by all means ask!

To address the point of TRP, many women ask that when they find us - we aren't women who date men on TRP. Rather RP is more the knowledge that we share and while both the men and women of RP use it, we use it for different things. Women use RP to land the highest quality mate possible, some men do this too, other men use it to plate and game women. While TRP can be a great place to read theory (I had a ton of self actualization take place there) its also a male space and a lot of those guys are pissed about being taken advantage of for so long. So its best not to judge them or try to interact with them. They don't want you there. Here, you will see men contributing and many do come from TRP. We value their input because they understand the ideology behind how we are operating and give us honest feedback and advice from a male that is RP aware. I hope this helps, its probably best to read and ask questions to learn what you are unsure of. What is RPW? is a vary broad question.

A reason RPW can seem hard to grasp in your context is because the red pill principles are deliberately unattached to any specific religion, faith, or region of Earth. They are simply attempting to articulate human nature and gender interactions. RPW specifically is using the principles to advocate a return to virtuous, complimentary femininity and masculinity. And because the principles are unattached in the ways above, they are by nature incomplete. We then have to blend them with our own religion/culture.

I belong to a traditional religion. Pretty much all traditional religions and indigenous faiths contain these principles, but for hundreds, thousands of years they were just innate and passed down orally through each generation, not necessarily articulated in writing in detail. Then the continuity started to break down in the early 1900s, liberalism grew and the principles stopped being lived and passed along in many communities. With communities dispersing around the world and mixing, it becomes necessary to carefully articulate the principles in writing.

In my small religious organization we have some guide texts sharing these "common sense" principles in general, but I wanted to find more voices with similar sentiment, to shore up conservative support. I haven't been able to find many everyday voices in our religion speaking up about these principles in detail online, probably mostly due to shyness, what with all the current pressures of liberalism. So I started searching around and was delighted to find RPW because it wasn't linked to a specific religion, and much detail is provided.

While the sidebar articles are easy to find, the discussion posts quickly get buried, so I started saving what I find to be most helpful to share with our organization. Perhaps it will be helpful to you. Here is what I've gathered so far over the last several months--

“Everything in the world is about sex except sex. Sex is about power.” And Oscar Wilde isn't from this era, so perhaps we've always been obsessed with sex.

A lot of what you will read on the red pill is truth, steeped in anger and bitterness. Think about what prompts a man to go there. Almost always it will be some sort of failing relationship or inherent unfairness in Western society. About half of what I read there is garbage, but the self-improvement and more emotionless posts are quite true. In a male space like that, men tend to talk in hyperbolic ways. Look at any male dominated field — men use acronyms (Finance, tech) and hyperbole to illustrate an overall trend. Things like AWALT (All women are like that) are an example of this. I'd change AWALT to AWHTPTBLT (All women have the potential to be like that) but that doesn't have a very nice ring. I agree that the world is not black and white, and for every rule, you will find exceptions to that rule. But that does not mean the rule is not generally true. I can imagine the red pill would be difficult to read as a woman. I don't see things such as the Wall or Shit testing as misogynistic, and if they are, there is truth to be had in it. Perhaps the spirit in which they are discussed is misogynistic for sure. Not all, but a lot of women's value in the dating market is based on physical traits. It is no secret that those decline as you age. They decline for some men as well, especially if they lose the desire to keep themselves in good condition, and likewise many women are able to stretch that window a little longer if they are physically fit and healthy.

Women have value beyond the sexual marketplace, and that is relatively unaffected by the wall. I'm sure many TRP guys would disagree with me there, but oh well. Shit testing, I don't see what your problem with that is? I see shit testing as an mental bicep grab. When a woman does it, she is testing to see how strong you are. It is natural for women to search for your boundaries to see where they are. A way to assess mate quality. Can women conscious of red pill truths avoid doing it? I'm sure they can, but I don't see why they'd even want to. The ability to respond and diminish shit tests displays value.

What the red pill says about women is generally true. RPW knows this and accepts it, and looks for ways to thrive with this knowledge. In many instances the way the red pill expresses this truth is misogynistic. The reason why the red pill thrives is quite simple. It works. Take the good advice on there and apply it and results will be had. It works better than mainstream advice. I agree with you that somewhere slightly less extreme is the sweet spot. Far more red pilled than mainstream western society, but less red pill than the most hyperbolic posts on TRP. I would think that any man who has truly internalized it would feel sympathy/empathy for women and not vitriol.

Thank you for your post, I'm also new in RPW and I'm trying to understand this RP concept for women.

I could say that I was raise in a RP culture in my country (Brazil) but we call it as being a man.

I agree with the obsession of sex in RP, for us is most about family values.

I love your post! I am American but my parents are from Europe and raised me very much in the way you described. I completely agree that most Western men are either brainwashed by liberalism or are on TRP, and that they don't know how to "handle" women like us or think we are too much work.

What it boils down to is having different values. I think the reason TRP is obsessed with sex is because once you take away the value people bring to each other's lives as part of a couple, there's nothing else between the man and woman but sex. IMO, this is sick.

Men are naturally attracted to beautiful, feminine women. Unfortunately what happens is you get guys trying to game us (as you pointed out, we can be a target for narcissists and manipulators) to raise their status, which is stupid because the naive, feminine girl is much easier to game than a woman who is hardened by her experiences in life.

This is why I eventually came around to agree that much of TRP is misogynistic. I agree that many of the techniques work, and they should be used by men in LTRs. Yet they do not advocate traditional values there, but spinning plates. If TRP followed their criticisms of feminism and modern society to the logical conclusions, they would advocate the kind of values we have in Europe. Instead, many have a "enjoy the decline" attitude, which just exacerbates the problems.

I like RPW because here in America, I don't have many spaces to talk about embracing my femininity and traditional gender roles.

This is all correct. But most traditional cultures do not have a way to discuss specifics like 'the wall', or 'shit tests' without unspecific (and often unhelpful) euphemistic language. If such things did exist, then there would be no need to create or use neologisms.

If I am incorrect about your culture, in particular, and it does have a way to discuss these matters, would you tell me how it would explain "the wall"?

The Red Pill Reddit probably turns off a lot of women because its blunt and open to all ideas. However, keep in mind that no one view of relationships is held by all men on the reddit. Its open to everyone, from men who only want to "pump and dump" to those seeking long term relationships. Keep in mind that a lot of the men on the reedit don't agree with each other. Those that sleep around argue with those that still want long term relationships as just one example.

The key to the red pill reddit is that its open to all experiences, everyone life experience/style is valid and worth exploring.

There is actually quite a lot of posts on the Red Pill about what it means to be a complete man and what codes of behavior men should have. Theres a strong sense that western society has forgotten how to teach men to behave as men and so men are having to reteach themselves.

This sub is focused on how women can attract a better partner and have better romantic relationships. If you want a focus on sex specifically there's r/sex or for a family or friendly focus try r/relationships or r/casualconversation.

There is an American bias here because this is Reddit and most users are American. Of course dating will have huge cultural differences so it's possible much of the info you find won't be relevant to your particular situation.

However I'm sure the people here would be happy to apply their knowledge and experiences within a different context to help you as well if that's something you're wanting. There are many people here who emphasize family, honor, and integrity as well.

Didn't read other replies, but I'm also European from a traditionally conservative country. Some of the things you read on red pill are instrumental: they make up a theory and nitpick only the facts that support the theory. This is why they end up ignoring some parts of tradition. I understand it as a reaction to feminism and get that some of the men have gone through horrible treatment from women, so I take everything there with a grain of salt.( Kind of like you would if you meet a woman who is bitter over the men in her life :) )

Hi. Just want to say your post is needed and insightful. No relationship style is a magic pill, but some are way more functional than others. That is why it's important what you said, that we not idealize this, because there is no snapping our fingers and not having to work at it.

We don't identify ourselves with the TRP sub. Those men are in an anger phase and are seeking dominating multiple women as the source of their manhood, which isn't actually the right path to masculinity. That is not the sort of man we seek here.

We aren't Stepford wives, but there are good qualities we take from the 50s era. We aren't cookie cutters either. And we do not engage in rigid play acting roles. If you aren't sure how you feel about all of it, take what you like and leave the rest. I like it here because I don't know many other places where I can talk about what I can improve about myself to help my relationship. So many spaces these days you can't even discuss how to change what needs to be changed about yourself, because everyone wants to demonize the man right away.

Red pill men are frustrated and angry because of their experiences with women. Actually I've found most of them to be quite nice.

In this community, we generally accept women as the "gatekeepers of sex". Thus, if our culture seems sex-obsessed it is the fault of women.
