I've been reading other threads here and have noticed a common theme: Vacations seem to be perfect opportunities for shit testing and for things to go wrong. Last year, I had not unplugged yet. I was downstream from a flood of shit tests and complaints.

*I wasn't paying enough attention to her because I wanted to explore the beach as soon as we arrived* *I was invading her space and making a mess.*

And so on... blah blah blah. This year, I'm only six months into my RP journey. It's vacation planning time and I'm trying to minimize the chance of misery. Two questions: 1. Any idea why vacations are such fertile opportunities for things to go bad? 2. Any tips?

This time, I'm doing all of the planning. Where we're going, how we're getting there, and what what we'll be doing are all things I've set up-- telling her "I've got this." That may be the start of establishing frame. But I know it's hardly enough.
