Having your reality smashed

Does anyone else find this keeps happening the further down the rabbit hole you go?

Each time something I've read from the side bar gets re-affirmed or a nugget in the comments. I get a little voice saying 'you know nothing Jon Snow'

Example tonight, overhead a conversation on the train of a girl recounting that last week called in late to work. Because she got a booty call from her bodybuilding guy that had 'muscles on muscles' she met in the queue at the post office.

With her friend saying 'your so naughty! Your boyfriend better not find out' and her answer was 'he needs me, I don't need him'

Last week Xmas drinks with my wife's friends and husbands, hearing them all whinge and bitch and then observing blue pill everywhere in there relationships.

I generally don't accept anything as the 'one' truth.

The more I read, the more I observe my own and others behaviours. The more I realise this is the closest I've ever come to seeing something as the one and only truth, and that what I thought I knew was nothing.

Yes, but it eventually just becomes your reality now that you have distilled down to something more physical. Please don't approach these men and try to talk to them about what you have learned here. You will only get wild stares and some will even get hateful. Go on knowing what you know and use it to your advantage.

I got a good buddy. He is BP, but the kind of guy I can really count on. Plus he's funny and we both enjoy quality beer. He is also my wife's best friends fiancee.

A couple weeks back I was helping him moving a few things. We were casually chatting about intergender dynamics, leadership, etc. I thought I'd throw a truth out there to see how he reacted.

I said "You know the problem in my relationship? Mrs. Drty has zero fear of losing me. How can she not take me for granted if she thinks she doesn't have to work for me?". I literally watched his hamster stuuggle to get that wheel going. 5 seconds of silence and he just starts talking about something else.

Now I know where he stands. If I were in an RP situation, I wouldn't seek his help. Likewise, my 2 life long best friends are RP by nature. I could count on them for these issues everytime.

There have been exactly two people in this world that I thought I would share my findings. Long story short. They are no longer my friends of their own choosing.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy

Exactly my story.

Two close buds. Tight.

Textbook jump into 2nd marriage BP fat blind sad fucks. I just can't. Out.

This man speaks the truth.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Little truth.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I had one. Don't see him much anymore.

He has found "a good one this time". Three marriages before and he'll never get it. Living the blue pill dream, one broken post-wall woman at a time.

Call it serial marriage, even better, call it following the dream..... I'd rather butcher a windmill.

I've only spoken about this place to a close friend of over twenty years, who will help me hide bodies if I ask him.

We are still close friends. But he would be the only one I could talk about it with.

You can prove anything with a single example. Look for consistency. You will see more, if the information is correct.

There are different opinions in trp too. Don't consider everthing here truth, except side bar.

[–]Cre4tiveUserN4me[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

That's what I was trying to say.

Most books I've read only have a couple of truths. TRP constantly re-affirms itself with real world examples.

Rollos book most specifically

The reality is that most people are shit, men or women.

What you do is cut shit people out of your life, keep people that add value to your life around.

I started doing this 6 or 7 years ago. Ive finally stamped out the wankas and am now surrounded by people that bring me up in one way or another.

Morpheus: The human body generates more bio-electricity than a 120-volt battery and over 25,000 BTU's of body heat. Combined with a form of fusion, the machines had found all the energy they would ever need. There are fields - endless fields - where human beings are no longer born, we are grown. For the longest time I wouldn't believe it, and then I saw the fields with my own eyes. Watched them liquefy the dead so they could be fed intravenously to the living.

Morpheus: And standing there, facing the pure horrifying precision, I came to realize the obviousness of the truth. What is the Matrix? Control. The Matrix is a computer generated dream world, built to keep us under control in order to change a human being into this.

[holds up a copper-top D cell battery]

Neo: No. I don't believe it. It's not possible.

Morpheus: I didn't say it would be easy, Neo. I just said it would be the truth.

Hopefully OP doesn't pop.

Tossing one's cookies at realizing truth isn't the worst that can happen. Sitting in the vomit and not picking yourself up to start living your life is.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Neo: All right, no problem. Free my mind. Free my mind. All right.

Neo jumps, and falls.

Mouse: Wha...what does that mean?

Switch: It doesn't mean anything.

Cypher: Everybody falls the first time. Right, Trin?

Lol, I was raised in a blue collar town around sociopaths. My friends in college were the attractive Chads. I did 12 years in the navy swooping girls.

So no, I didn't have a jon snow moment. It merely categorized stuff I already knew.

Gonna suggest you slow down, not treat this as some new age religon. If you setup a temple to a strategy guide, you're gonna look like a tard

[–]BostonBrakeJob1 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy

It merely categorized stuff I already knew.

This is a huge handicap!

While I didn't know any of this to be true, there has always been a primal urge to live this way. It was just repressed and I lived the "way society wanted me to live." So, when the reading told me it was not only ok to live this way, but that people (and women in particular) respond better to it, it was more of a relief than an angry moment for me. And it's comical to see the bp ideaology spew out of others now.

[–]RuleZeroDADRed Beret2 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy

Just remember Law #38.

Blend and smirk is my way through life now.

[–]BostonBrakeJob1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Absolutely. I've tried telling friends about RP ideals, not one has shown enough interest in changing himself to even lead him to this sub, let alone any of the reading material. As soon as they hear "fuck her feelings" their brains turn to nacho cheese. Granted, they don't understand where that's coming from. But the fear and anxiety that statement evokes is strong enough that they won't even entertain the idea, even after watching me turn my own life around.

Now I just smile, fog and change the subject. Complaining without being willing to change anything is just bitching, and I have no time or sympathy for it. Instead of getting mad, I view the world as my own personal comedy sitcom.

[–]mindfulbutgutlessRed Beret1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Wait.... there are YouTube video on this book. I know how i will be rereading this!

[–]Chinchilla_the_Hun2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Yeah, it's a bitch when this happens (and keeps happening). Convert any depression into frustration and use that to fuel action. Like that inspirational quote about lighting a candle rather than cursing the darkness...just not so cheesy.

What I wasn't ready for was tv and movies. I can't watch it anymore. Trp ruined it. I'm actually more burned about that than fining out about woman's true nature.

[–]snatch_haggis5 points6 points  (3 children) | Copy

On the one hand, I do see it everywhere, sure. On the other hand, I'm no longer blown away by it exactly.

I see a lot of drowning people, I know I can't save them all, so I keep my people close to me in our boat and try to get everybody to hunker down. Not enough room onboard for the rest of these poor bastards.

I have the same kind of epiphanies about food, exercise, and health a lot. Like it just blows my fucking mind how fat, out of shape and just generally unwell the vast majority of modern first-world people are. I just got back from Europe and I see it as much there as anywhere in North America, especially with the British, who love fried food even more than we do.

With both beta behavior and fitness (and they're interrelated, really), there's a strong temptation to redknight people sometimes. That rarely, if ever, works, so I remind myself there's only so much room on this boat. I try to throw a lifeline or a paddle here and there where I can.

[–]SimilarSalvation1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy

But it is soooo hard to stay in shape... pouts

[–]snatch_haggis3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy

That's okay, though, my GF said she doesn't like muscly guys.

have an upvote :D

Now it's time for you to become the architect of your item life. You'll experience deja Vu as your wife re-wires her once bitchy code to fit the new attractive man you will become

[–]Cre4tiveUserN4me[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy

Lots of déjà vu. Pretty rocky road at the moment as we adjust.

[–]Rian_StoneMod / Red Beret2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

Way too early to self reflect.

Throw on the blinders for a bit, hit the gym hard, keep the diet on point, worry about the rest in a year.

Youre replacing mental models, they are like learning a language. Most work comes from. Conversing, not memorizing verbs

[–]Cre4tiveUserN4me[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Totally agree. I've been on this self improvement path for a lot longer than I'd like to admit.

I've had several of these 'you know nothing moments' and the last couple have been loud.

My body is well on the way to were I want it..... I read a comment a while ago saying it's one of the only things you can truly control.

[–]Reach180Red Beret0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

I generally don't accept anything as the 'one' truth.

This isn't that, either. If you approach this as the one true truth, you'll drive yourself batty trying to reconcile the contradictions.

[–]Cre4tiveUserN4me[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Absolutely.

Out of all the random self help and philosophy stuff I've read over the years, Rollo's book just keeps showing me multiple real world examples nearly daily.

A large portion of the comments are people playing anonymous internet hero. With some hidden gold.
