According the CDC's Vital and Health Statistics report in 2011 (Report 36), the statistics were the following for millenial men (ages at the time 15-30.

Ages: 15-17, Sample size: 6,643, Percent that had never had sexual contact with the opposite sex: 52.4%, Percent who had 7-14 sexual partners: N/A

Ages: 17-19, Sample size: 4,134, Percent that had never had sexual contact with the opposite sex: 24.1%, Percent who had 7-14 sexual partners: 5.4%

Ages: 20-24, Sample size: 10,404, Percent that had never had sexual contact with the opposite sex: 14.3%, Percent who had 7-14 sexual partners: 18.1%

Ages: 25-29, Sample size: 10,431, Percent that had never had sexual contact with the opposite sex: 3.8%, Percent who had 7-14 sexual partners: 22.9%

Assuming as millenials have gotten older the amount of virgins has only gotten smaller, I'd say your conclusions are as false now as they were 7 years ago.

AFAIK CDC virginity rates for men and women are comparable (within a few %).

Hey there, one of the brave and heroic 60% here. What's your actual intent here? You have only provided a number for us to challenge, and since you arrived on it with shaky logic, I will assume you'll be okay with my argument being "nuh uh".

Brothels are also not quite as taboo in Europe, they exist all over Germany. Saarbrucken is a city on the French/German border, and it has the highest brothels per capita in all of Europe. Legal brothels, at that. Not a very far trip for our British virgin brothers.

Okay, let's say that statistic is correct (sounds a little much, but okay.)

40% is still absurd. The world does not consist of you and your friends.

12.5% of 26 year olds are virgins according to that study. Probably 80% of those are men. So 20% of men at 26 might be virgins.

I don't know where you got 40% from.

40% seems like a ton. I definitely think there are a lot more young virgin men than people think. I have many friends who are all 19-23 and are either virgins or haven't had sex in at least a year and most of them are 6 foot+ average or decent looking guys. A lot of it has to do with them being not as social as they could be, but I do think the bar to getting laid has been raised extremely high. In some of my college classes I had to take stereotypical nerd courses and I would say half of the class would be short, skinny, dorky dudes who I highly doubt were getting laid.

Simple -- millennial women make more money and are more educated than their male counterparts. Thus they don't need to give sex to get stability, so the total amount of sex decreases.
