CMV: Women love men looking to improve their SMV.

As a man who has learned to recognize which men women find handsome I'm often surprised at how bad other men are at this. Men especially have difficulty recognizing what women find attractive about dainty pretty boys.

So that's my challenge to your view: it's more likely that you're bad at recognizing handsome men than that the women around you have the hots for pictures of average men they've never met.

What is the point of your post exactly? Average men can of course make themselves more attractive. But women will always hate and be suspicious of the process of becoming attractive for many reasons.

I think that it depends upon how the men are doing it. From my experience, women seem to be more attracted to a man who is working out because it shows a disciplined character. They are not attracted so much to men who they know are trying to learn pick-up techniques because there is a perception of deception with men who need to resort to these techniques.

haha, wishing to be 6'3'' has more to do with the increasing heights men are going through in the western world. Guys don't wanna look like girls next to other men, and I've walked past 14 year old boys who are already taller than me(5'10'').

but I haven't seen it in my life or any of the lives of the people around me. Even here when women post pictures of men they think are attractive, I see 'average' men just made up very well fairly often. Girls show me pictures of guys who are 'so hot' in that outfit, or with this haircut, or with that beard, who're otherwise average purely facially.

We don't know what those women look like. Maybe those men they posted are Chads to them. I dunno. Some women just have strange tastes in men no matter the women's SMV. I knew girls in college who were popular and cheerleader material and they were dating guys below their league, who weren't rich. Maybe the dudes made up for the lack of smv in other ways.

I don't. I love it. I adore when women enhance their natural beauty with ways of clothing, make-up, and all of those lovely secrets women have to make their hair look like waterfalls of colour. I love it when they wear heels, and because they are already tall for women they reach my height or go past it. I love it when they scent their hair and hands and neck and clothes with loveworn perfumes.

They have the right to do whatever it takes, whatever they want, to make themselves astoundingly beautiful, and in return, we gratiate them with this.

Likewise, a man who is well groomed and goes to the gym and wears flattering clothes is also cheating.

Why is he cheating? What, do people believe beautiful people look how they do without a flicker of work? Do you know how long it takes the women in my family to get ready just to go to the bakery? But when they are ready, cars almost smash against each other looking at them. That a man can make heads turn, what's wrong with that ? What's wrong with working to make that happen?

I agree with this.

I don't think this is entirely accurate.

Women don't like having to tell a guy to do something. The very act of her having to do that displays that he isn't competent to her lizard-brain.

I do think average men can improve and they should and many of them do.

I don't think women necessarily want to date the guy she has to mold. Many women do this. But it's not their preference.

However the guy once he's molded by her will appear to be "the natural hot guy" to the next woman.

To a point, but not all that much. Women don't invest in potential attractiveness. They are attracted based on how attractive you are when you make your first impression. If she has deemed you unattractive, you can't go back from that without major improvements in your SMV, and even then it's not likely.

If you're only in the process of improving your SMV, you better have something significant to show for it. If a woman suspects you might be artificially inflating your SMV she will shit test until she uncovers the real, unattractive you.

Remember, a woman's attraction dynamics is based mostly on two things: high investment in the mating process, and high abundance. She has options of men that she doesn't perceive to have ever gone through a period of weak SMV. Depending on what gives her the tingles, be it athletics, academics, abundance, career, travel, she can find guys who have been successful at those things their whole lives. She will try her darndest to learn about all of those past successes and failures, to insure that she's getting the best investment for herself.

Now that doesn't mean it's hopeless if you haven't had a constant stream of past successes. Mostly you've got to learn to spin it in a way that sounds sexy. Pulling yourself up by the bootstraps, with nothing but your own resolve and natural smarts, into the man you are today!

Wanting to improve oneself is an excellent trait. Yes, women like men who try to improve.

But we'd strongly prefer that the baseline have been good too. We only get one real shot at a successful family. Marrying a guy who started out super pitiful and somehow became attractive via internet lessons in his late twenties is like you guys marrying a pretty woman only to find that she started out looking horrible and has had a bunch of plastic surgery. I bet a lot of you wouldn't be down to have her pass her genes to your daughters.

You want naturals too. But yes, you can afford to be a little more relaxed about it, because for you there's always the prospect of starting a second family, then maybe even a third.

Lots of denial about this in the thread. I suppose the issue is framed in a way to make us feel guilty or bad for wanting naturals, and people are probably picturing a non natural as someone who managed some success by his early twenties, i.e. "He wouldn't be that bad."

Loving improvement is universal. And so there is 0 significance that women love it as well.

If you improve a school, the parents will love it, the kids will love it. If you improve your soil, your plants will love it.

If you improve your SMV, your boss would love it, your clients would love it, your friends would love it, your father will love it and also women.

I don't see why this is a revelation. What's next on PPD? Women hate their hands being scalded with hot water.

I think given the choice, anyone would still prefer one who already has an abundance of it vs someone who is still just working on it. its not a proposal/promise, its a proven thing already at that point.
