Nobody is. She said herself that that man was about 6ft or taller, obviously crazy and willing to use violence. Nobody who isn't actually able to deal with him because he is trained, should interfere here. The single best thing is to make use of your cell phone and call the police.

If you become the victim of such a guy it's just like a freak accident and tough luck. Shit happens. You cannot expect other people to put their own life and well-being at stake for you. You are not other people's responsibility. You could have pushed your own lazy ass to a BJJ-gym and learned hot to defend yourself as a woman.

Also what the actual fuck does the race of the guys walking away change?

Finally I like to (semi-)jokingly say that with the rising number of immigrants here in Germany and the rise in sexually motivated assaults that comes with it, women better start behaving more submissive and thankful towards masculine guys, because they will be needing them very much in the future and they don't want to risk them just looking away when they get hit in their blue haired head.

I’d like to think I would help someone who was being attacked - male or female. I think we’re all entitled to hope someone will help us, doesn’t mean they will. We’re all entitled to get angry if people stand by and do nothing when someone is being verbally or physically attacked. But you can’t force people to act.

This woman is one of those hyper-PC, extreme SJW types who sees race and gender conflict everywhere and has bought into ‘middle class white men are to blame for everything’ hook, line and sinker. I don’t believe most women buy into it to this extent, but certainly some do. Some men do too.

It may seem common online and in the media, but in day to day life I think a lot of people would roll their eyes at this woman and not sympathize with her view. I mean, she keeps mentioning her dress size as well...as if being a size 8 has anything to do with it and a size 12 woman wouldn’t have been so deserving of help! It’s a stupid write up very typical of The Daily Mail. It’s just baiting BS.

Sounds fake but whatever. In most western societies people are “entitled“ to be defended from attackers by the state via the police. That's what they're for, that's why a part of our taxes goes to pay for them. It does seem that the police in many parts of western Europe is not always entirely on top of this type of new aggression from migrants vs. what they're used to from the locals but that's a different discussion.

In general, it's great when people step in to defend others but in a situation where they could be seriously harmed in the process, you cannot expect them to help you. Depending on the location they might be expected to call the police though and in this situation I'd draw the line there - don't phyiscally intervene, just call the trained professionals to deal with it. Crazies and aggressive drunks on public transport aren't exactly rare unfortunately but that also means it's pretty routine for the police to deal with it.

I don't really understand why she specified that the other men were white and middle class, sounds like crazy SJW shit. As to good guy/ bad guy: bad guy = attacker, good guy(s) = people who helped or called police, neutral = everyone else.

Many women feel entitled to the bodies of other men.

Being stabbed in the stomach and slowly dying is not the time honored tradition of men that women think it is. It was evolutionarily necessary to defend women at one time and men upheld this tradition as a sign of respect and care. Everyone is entitled to be defended from harm/attacks, and it's everyone's duty to do something if they witness an attack (at least by calling the police). Everyone on that train should have been intervening, and some actually did, for example one Eastern European guy, and from what I read also another size eight woman and an elderly lady.

I think that law enforcement routinely says tells ordinary people not to get involved in situations like this due to safety concerns, but to call them instead. This is what men should be doing to intervene, not either putting themselves in danger or completely walking away.

I remember when I grew up, there was an incident near where I lived where a guy got stabbed to death because he was trying to protect a random woman from a violent man.

After this incident, my mother and older sister would constantly tell me to never interfere in situations like that: don't try to be a hero, remember that what matters is yourself and those closest to you.

Even given the situation at hand, I'm pretty sure this is exactly the same type of advice this fashion CEO gives both her son or daughter.

The paradox here is that crowds of people are perfectly capable of overpowering a single individual - but due to the bystander effect, most people in a crowd are more likely to prioritize their own safety. Maybe you could train children in crowd intervention or something in order to prevent situations like this?

But then again - the police would probably tell you to stay away and let them handle it. So it's a complex issue.
