It means he is gonna sit on his ass, do nothing, play vidya, forget your birthday, not care about you or your day, or even ask about it, make messes, neglect you, and just be an all around shitty, boring partner......but he won't cheat on you. And because he doesn't cheat on you, he will expect to joyfully lick up all his NVM-ness.

So yeah, like a awful pet that shits on your carpet, but doesn't run away.

there was a study done by the FBI(I can't remember exactly, I read it somewhere) showing that criminals, sociopaths and psychopaths had a higher rate of saying statements that begun with "I" or "I am". I know this might sound extreme but any guy that I dated or was in business, who used the phrase "I am [fill in the blanks] more than normal turned out to be a narc or sociopath. People who embody these qualities do not need to virtue signal. If your kind, you show it. If your loyal, you prove it.

Before I quit OLD, the last guy I dated(about 6 total dates) used the word I am loyal, almost as a way to affirm to himself that he was loyal. My intuition caught on to the fact that he was lying. Why would you have to say that? It took some probing to see how he was with his ex. As is predictable with these types, I put two-and-two together, and realized he was the cheating-type even though he presented himself as a marriage-minded person.

Loyalty is not a bonus in a relationship.

It is the expected standard.

I’m always under the impression that when someone says they’re loyal, they think it’s suppose to impress me.

God, I can’t believe some people think offering loyalty is some amazing quality. FOH.

Maybe it means that he thinks 'loyal' and 'cheating' are two equal, valid options. Of course, in reality the only two relationship options are monogamy or single. Cheating is never a valid option.

I'd stay away from guys who think that 'loyal' needs to be stated, rather than being the default.

I've only had one LVM say that to me...and he cheated on me, lied about it, attempted to gaslight me, accuse me of cheating on him, etc. If they were to say that to me now.. I'd just tell them to go be loyal somewhere else 😂
