Women with no female friends

its very difficult for women with masculine interests and cognitive style to find random IRL female friends they can relate to. i totally agree its a redflag in your typical esfj/esfp attention whore women, but until the internet i really couldnt just find local women i could relate to. i like discussing politics, philosophy, history, war, ideas and machines. the day i met my H we had an hours long impromptu convo about world war 2. if i could have FOUND women like that to be friends with id have GLADLY taken them. the internet has allowed me to meet a universe of women all over the world i can talk to and relate to, and its a pleasure. i did always have a few cute girly girl friends to hang out with at bars and clubs when i was single, but they were not people i had anything in common with or truly cared about or felt close to

that all being said, i didnt have the weird kind of "do things for you" best friends people talk about here. my "best friend" Caesar and i sat on the phone all night plotting to take over the world, he didnt run around "doing things for me" or "buying me things" or whatever people claim women do with "orbiters" and male friends here. none of my friends did that and i sure as fuck never did that for any friends

Someone with aspergers might do well with male friends more, since male communication is much more direct than female communication in general.

Also there are some tomboys who just get along with men better due to shared interests and hobbies. And sometimes, communication styles.

I have never heard of a woman who keeps male friends just for orbiting but have no female friends, most of the women I know who keep male orbiters around are also queen bee type women with all girl cliques too.

The gender of someone's friends is just basically mostly based on their communication style and interests.

its not necessarily bad if she's a loner with no girlfriends. and its not necessarily bad if she had girlfriends. I think its more of a flag for relationships if she does the following:

We can't work if my friends don't like you.
You need to meet my friends or you don't really care about me.
I use my friends to vet my boyfriends.
Me and my girlfriends have always dreamed of having a joint wedding with our boyfriends!

Stuff like that. Super easily influenced. The man will probably come second to her friends' feelings and opinions.

depends on why she doesn't have friends. I don't have many female friends because of my hobbies and work (video gaming and I'm a software engineer) - it was somewhat toxic back when I thought 'god, i'm glad i'm not vapid like those other girls (... though I never had 0 female friends)', but now it's 'eh, i just get along with whoever I get along'.

I live inner-city with a mix of genders, cultures, faiths and orientations. Having no female friends would be a yellow flag. As experience has showed me many women like this value male validation over everything else.

Apart from the obvious risks there's also the fact that she might not continue her friendships when we get together, which is annoying AF because I like my space.

For someone, man or woman, to have literally no same-sex friendships is a huge red flag. Tbh I doubt whether or not these people exist beyond internet memes.

Doesn't everyone who has friends have at least one same-sex friend? Even if they're friends from college or something?

sometimes (like 10% of the time) she just has very masculine interests or works in a male-dominated field. this happens a lot with lesbians.

most of the time it means shes a bitch who keeps her male friends around for attention.

I think the only groups Id be cool with her hanging out with ( when Im not present ) would be lesbians or Omega type guys that stand no chance.

Unusual AF; a red flag for sure, unless she is masculine as all hell or has a really blunt AF, abrasive personality or something. She'll have a reputation as a "bitch" - but she might be a nice person, beneath all that masculinity and abrasiveness. She won't be feminine at all, and if she is, that's a huge red flag: a woman performing traditional femininity at least decently well, but no female friends?

I would say it's fairly normal that women don't have friends of the same sex. I've seen dozens and dozens of horrible "friendship" ending arguments over the pettiest things(and significant things as well), and I feel women hold a grudge. Acquaintances, sure, but I feel once they get close they find a reason to hate each other. Most women I know that do have women friends are usually friends at a distance and mostly communicate infrequently via phone/text.

Edit: I would revise the last line as to say that a person with no friends of a certain sex being a good or bad thing is a false assumption.

With a few rare exceptions, any person without friends of both genders likely has issues that effect their ability to get along with people and socialize normally. Probably a good idea to avoid dating these people.

Less hot women need hotter women to learn from and grow by.

While women towards the top can't trust each other, don't, have less need for one another, are more highly competitive with each other, and so not having female friends is okay.

Even Tomboys have female friends - if a woman has no female friends whatsoever, 99% of the time that's intentional.
