A while back I attended a birthday party and observed a few things worth mentioning.

There was definitively alpha male guy who I later found out was related to the birthday boys girlfriend. A picture "alpha" That is to say 6'3 about 190lbs of shredded. Did everything you're supposed to do to claim your space. All well and good. For contrast, I'm 6 feet about 145lbs and more or less reserved in my approach to most things.

In any case, at some point it became clear that we were both zoned in on the same girl. I took a step back and watched him work. He laid his game out clean. Aggressively and confidently. She seemed interested and the night went on. Drinks were had and so forth.

At some point we were all seated around the same area, card games here and there a board game or two but every one was conversing as a group. He was seated next to her doing his thing she was responding positively.

The conversation as it often does with adults made it's way to sex and things got interesting. One of my friends asked me about about a girl I'd been fucking and if she'd be coming, of course everyone's ears perked up. I play most things close to the vest so I smirked and made a your mom joke.

They laughed and moved on, the target girl however brought it back up and asked if I was dating her or just fucking her. I said nothing, I just looked dead at her, smirked and took a sip of my beer. She smiled back and that was that.

Later on In another part of the house the guy and I were in proximity and he crowded me and asked if I was into the target. I guess his instincts had kicked in. I told him I wanted no part of her and that he was all good to go.

As the night went on, a conversation about a night I wing maned for my friends came up, he told it expertly, the long and short of it was, we were at a bar inside of an hour and left with a couple of girls. Complete fluke. But the way he told the story painted me as a fucking pussy wizard. The target girl seemed completely into the story as was everyone, I sat back and let the story be told. At this point the alpha guy was visibly irked and I suppose he had to assert his dominance somehow. He suggested a round of shots and began pouring all around. When he got to me I said no, looked right past him and suggested that every one play team scrabble. As soon as I said it, everyone jumped and pretty much agreed and put the shots away. Not one shot was taken. He took his. The target girl shouted "I'm on 4mrkites team!" And immediately switched seats.

Again he suggested we play for stakes and loser takes shots. I made a joke about him just taking them now, everyone laughed and he called me a cunt. I did not respond, instead I took the girls hand and suggested we play on the floor, everyone followed.

I didn't really pay much attention to the game, I made jokes left and right, and sat close enough so I could whisper whatever bullshit I could think of right into her ear.

He was actually pretty good, and his team ended up winning. So the target girl and I went to take our shots. Everyone said fuck it and took one with us.

At this point I made my play and told the girl it was past my bed time and I had to go, as expected she tried to get me to stay, I went towards the door to grab my keys then called her over, before she could say anything I pushed her toward the door and kissed her then left without saying a word.

She apparently asked around for my phone number because she texted me before I got home. Long story short we went out a couple of days later and I fucked her.

*So, what's to be learned from this experience?

*1. Most people new to the red pill are, weak, shy or mentally broken men coming off the friendzone or some form of heart break, they come here and are told to lift, read and practice alpha tendencies and so on. All great advice and it certainly helps quite a bit.

However, something to remember, is that you will never make any progress without self acceptance. You have to know exactly who you are. Stop acting. Don't see some guy, wish you were like him and start cloning yourself in his image. The goal is not to be him he's already him. The goal is to be the most powerful and effective version of you that you can be. Lift absolutely. Read the side bar, yes, but at the end of the day when it's you and your target, reciting things you've learned from books and r/seduction won't leave you much room to maneuver. You are your best asset. Find your best qualities and hone them and stop trying to be whatever you imagine the perfect alpha is in your head. Confidence, you must have it.

*2. When running game, manipulate don't stipulate. Subtlety is your best friend. Don't tell a story about what a pussy champ you are or brag about your skills to show her how brotastic you are in a misguided attempt to demonstrate value. Find a way to have someone else tell it for you. It's more effective.

*3. Mystery. Cultivate it. People can't desire to know you, if you toss out your life resume every chance you get.

*4. When faced with someone you feel has the upper hand on a target you want, your best course of action should be covert not overt. Don't try to out alpha an alpha. Diminish your opponent quietly, It's a jungle out there and you're not out to make new friends. The thing to remember here is finesse. The last thing you want to come off as is petty.

*5. You don't have to be the biggest, baddest dude in a room to own it. True power doesn't need to be displayed, it just is.

*Finally. If you're out hunting pussy to get back at all the Bitches that hurt you way back when, then you're still a slave to them. They are still in control your choices. Let go of your Anger towards women. It only weakens you.

*Edit. For those who asked, I'm 26. As far as My height and weight proportions go, they have worked great for me. My fashion sense is built around my form so in that regard it's an asset not a liability. I've built an extensive wardrobe around it. My work out routine has always been run heavy. So I'm quite lean with a low bmi.

*2. I completely agree that Social proof and preselection were very instrumental that night. However the post was directed more towards the beginners, so to that end, I chose to focus more on my interactions, actions and reactions. More to the point, how to deal with and behave in such a situation. Control, composure and self assurance. Things I struggled with when I begun my journey.
