I am between (a) and (c).

Whether a woman applies makeup or not is up to her, but if she doesn't, she shouldn't complain that she doesn't get male attention (or that women who do get more of it). There is no inalienable right to be "taken as you are", and makeup does make women prettier. I dare to say in the vast majority of cases it even makes the difference between "plain" and "pretty" (i.e. "not really fuckable" and "certainly fuckable"). So who am I to argue with using this as a tool? If men could doll themselves up as easily in a non-gay and equally accepted manner, I guess more would do it as well.

I think makeup is a tool woman use to make themselves look better. I wouldn't call it universally necessary, but at this point unless you're already young and gorgeous a certain amount is expected in most settings where appearance tends to matter. I would say if the situation would require a man to comb/style his hair, it would require a woman to generally wear some makeup.

Also, I think the folks you refer to as B camp aren't as rueful of makeup as you make it seem. I think that response is more given to explain how both men and women can be deceitful when it comes to attraction.

Is it just me, or does make up work best on white girls. The same with tattoos. Most just look silly if you're black or dark asian.

I think a man has to be pretty stupid not to recognize when a woman is wearing make up so the deceitfulness angle doesn't hold water.

Personally I agree with those who say it should be subtle and tasteful and it's an indicator of good grooming. However, if a girl isn't into to it then so be it. It reminds me of how my grAndmother used to say things like "who does she think she is walking around not even wearing lipstick." Lol

And guys ought to be groomed too. Eyebrows guys eyebrows

My ex gf was a beautiful natural woman.. When she put on makeup I thought she looked ugly. I think makeup is unnecessary

As an 80-percent male I cannot win. Fake SMV women will get laid, but not with me. Real SMV women will not be hot enough to waste time on them.

I think some women rely on it too much. They obviously wear it to enhance their looks..

I prefer a girl that is naturally beautiful and does not need makeup. Don't be jealous. Yes, they are out there.

It's unfortunate that we've been conditioned to perceive the faces of girls without makeup as less attractive. I blame it on good, effective marketing.
